I am now playing the waiting game. Applied to only 1 school for Spring of 2012, finished my pre-req's with a 3.7 GPA and passed the NLN in the 94 percentile. Now Im waiting to hear whether or not I got in. Advisor said decision would be made middle of this month with letters going out end of this month. These weeks seem to be dragging. I feel confident I got in with my scores but who knows how everyone else did. So there is always that doubt.
Just looking for some company for those playing the waiting game too.
Looks like we got our dates switched. I am not sure if this school got a lot of applicants or what.
EMT89 I feel your pain.
I applied in May 2011 and didnt get my acceptance letter until September 2011. A **4** month wait, it was terriable.
Orination is November 8th and I start the program in Januray 2012!
Hang in there, you will know someting sooner than later at this point;).
Really??? That is just wrong on every level!! Do they expect the titers, physical, and shots done b4 classes start?
We have t be done with our Hep B series before clinicals in mid-march, this was actually a brand new protocol. Our campus was unaware, I actually got a call back in September about my app. They called to inform me that even if I got in I could not be seated because I wouldn't be done with the 7 month series before January, when the program starts. This started a ton of calls back and forth between the campuses since our satellite campus was unaware of this new policy. Luckily it was decided that the series would need to be done before clinicals instead and that gave me just enough time to start the series and be done before clinicals. Actually I will be done a bit early since there is a new 5 month protocol for Hep B.
After December 15th, I'll be on the same boat as you guys! The program semester will start on January 5th though, so I'm hoping there won't be much of a waiting period from the end of this semester to the start of the new one! I'm definitely a January-entry hopeful and am doing all I can to make it there. I currently have a 3.7 which will be a 3.8 if I can maintain my A's in these last pre-reqs....I really am ready for this pre-program stress to be over and done with!
Good luck to everyone waiting! :)
