Anyone waiting on acceptance letter from Tidewater Community College VA

U.S.A. Virginia

Published

Hi Im a student at TCC and I submitted my application in middle end of April, just wondering how long it normally takes to hear something, I am waiting everyday for the mailman about to drive myself loco. Is anyone else waiting for there letter from TCC. Please share with me.

I hope to see you then!! What is the interview session like and what to wear?

Just wear something casual. The only thing you will be doing is filling out paper work and they will kind of tell you what to expect

Thanks for that... do you know if you will be in Cohort 1 yet? I am a big studier and scared poopless..any advice on what to do until August when classes start i.e. reviewing A&P??

Were you in MTH 01 last year I think it was the Fall 2008? If you were I may have been in that class, and were you taking A&P in Norfolk?

If you have your book start reading. There is a ton of reading involved and you will need to read to get through those test. You really don't have to go over your A&P material since its not a whole lot involved because NUR 108 is all foundation of nursing. I would purchase a book called Fundamentals Success you can get it from most book stores. Start looking through that book to get your ready for the types of test questions that you may see. Also if you are not a good critical thinker try to find some books on that, because you really have to learn to think like a nurse. That is what killed me and I failed the class by 2 questions. I didn't take math 01. I graduated last year from TCC with my Associates Degree. I took A&P a while ago in Norfolk. Hope this information helps let me know if you need anything else.

:rcgtku:Thanks for the tip! I hope and you know you'll be able to get through next time!

thanks, yeah I have already talked to the director i should get a call early August. Just pray for me. Sometimes it takes a little while to start the class again when you fail one.

I hope you don't have to wait long. I will be praying for you.

I got accepted into Cohort 2. I am excited and nervous about what to expect. How lng are the classes. My paperwork says I graduate in August 2011. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!!!

The first class is NUR 108 and you are in class Mon-Thurs from 8:30am-2:30pm and then later on in the semester towards the end you will start clinicals and clinicals are Tuesday and Thursdays either 6:00am-12pm or 2:30pm-8:30pm. That's strange because I started in Cohort 4 which was this past month and it said my graduation date would be December 2011, so you might want to double check the graduation date with the instructors cause we had some issues with that as well.

Congrats tngirl82:yeah:

I hope to see you guys in Cohort 1 or Cohort 2. Congrats ladies.

Thanks tigrbuttrfly!!!:roll:roll:roll

Hey, I applied by the May 15 deadline. Does anyone know when they should let me know about acceptance . . . or if i'm not accepted. It's killing me. I need to know. I'll get a letter one way or the other right?

I'm stressing about his big time.

How did you guys do with your pre-reqs and on your placement/nurse math exams? Maybe this will help me figure out if I'm going to be accepted. I'm not the most patient person.
