i am a very dedicated and organized distant learner but just like you ran into a motivation factor....until i scheduled the exams then you have no choice but to meet this deadline. i also overlapped my scheduling .. i would always have 2 sometimes 3 scheduled so when i got done with one i had to move to the next area of study...good luck
I was having the same problem right before thanksgiving, got sick then just could not do it!!! The group all told me take a few days, give your self a date and re-start. It worked like magic I gave myself 10 days off, and on the 11th day i started right back where I left off, re-motivated and re-energized. Sometimes our bodies know better than we do!!!
I'm having trouble to.I've done my pre-reqs in World Religion, Lifespan Dev., English Comp., & Sociology. I'm ready to go take Biology & I have A&P & Micro left. My husbands work has been slow & we are struggling with paying the bills so its just been hard to justify spending the money to take the test when it could pay & bill or buy groceries.Hopefully things will get better soon & I can get back on track.
That's one of the hardest thing about distance learning is finding the discipline and motivation. Taking care of 2 kids and working full time to pay all of your bills really makes it hard for you to find the time to study. That's when the procrastination kicks in big time - putting it off to next week, then next month, etc. This year I plan to set realistic goals with a realistic study plan. I definetly agree with the prescheduling. That's how I was able to complete the one course that I did.

Help! I need to get my act together and back on the right track. What are you doing to get yourself studying? Any parents out there that can relate or anyone else please advise.
Thank you.
