Anyone in Tampa, Fl for LPN at Erwin Tech March '11?

Hello

I am living in Florida for less than 1 year (8 months), last saturday I took teas test in Erwin and I passed, got a result of 86%. I am also planning to attend November orientation to begin Erwin on March 2011.

Thats awesome, congrats. i am taking the TEAS in a few days myself and hopefully will get into the june 2011 semester. unfortunately the march one was full. How was the test? i am horrible in math but i have been working on it. also i heard that the science portion does not count. is that true?

What was said to me is that we need to have 70% or more (total score). Because the test has 4 sections, the 70% can be achieved with some higher and lower scores in each section.

Every section counts, but science section has only 30 questions, while Reading has 40 questions, Math with 45 questions and English with 55 questions.

Before the test, I searched in this forum about TEAS test and there is a lot of useful and important tips about what to study. If I were you, I would do that.

Thanks so much! luckily i ended up passing. i was really nervous that i wouldn't do well because i struggled with the tabe lol. im excited! i will also be attending the November meeting to be in the march 2011

I know in your previous post you stated that the March 2011 class was full, but you went in to take the TEAS and passed recently; now you're in the March class? Was there an available spot that opened up? I'm going in to take the test tomorrow, and I'm hoping someone drops out so that I can take their spot for the March 2011 classes; otherwise it'll be June 2011. (keeping my fingers crossed)

yes i was told at first that march was full. but when i went to take the test we were told that there were a few spots open for march and we could choose june or march. are you taking your teas at another school? cause i thought erwins next test wasnt til next month. We were told that the people taking our test would most likely fill up those spots so you should probably go to erwin with your scores ASAP and ask if they still have spots open.

No, I went in to Erwin to take the TABE and TEAS... I think you're correct because they told me that there were no more spots open; so maybe you guys took up the last spots like they said. I'm going to have to do the June session ... which is fine. I would've liked to do it sooner, but I can wait too. It'll give me time to prepare :) Thanks

How does erwin work?? I was going to go down there and take the test. Is it whoever gets the highest on the TEAS gets in?? Or is it first come first serve??

Practice your math now! Save your money.. as much as you can! Have fun now! You will not have a life during 14 or 16 months of this program.
