I am a new LPN and im thinking about a camp nurse job opportunity for an all girls camp. I applied, who knows if i would even get it. But I am nervous about being the only nurse on call for the whole summer. what are some good tips? is this even a god idea for me? what are some of the daily issues i would come across? is it intense?do they stock up on every thing i need? Im nervous ill come across something I'm not prepared for so I plan on doing a little research on typical camping injuries and things that could go wrong with kids. Also what happens if a serious emergency occurs?

So how is the spc program? I am thinking about applying, however I need one more pre req. is it competitive to get it? Is it based on gpa?

I went to Erwin for lpn and took some nursing pre Reqs at hcc...my gpa in my science courses were poor. Mostly C's. do I have a chance I acceptance at st pete college LPN to rn program? Anyone been accepted with low gpa? Anyone denied with high gpa? anyone in the program? How is it? Should I bother applying? And is there a waiting list? Thanks

I am actually interested in applying to spc LPN to rn. Just curious cause I know a few of u Applied and r missing a pre req. they actually let u apply without it? Cause I am missing statistics and I was wondering if I would just be able to apply without it. Also what's ur gpa? Mine is below 3.0 so I am worried if I won't even have a chanceThanks

Congrats on your acceptance :) I am actually looking in to applying to the LPN to rn program at spc. But concerned with my grades and wondering if I have a chance. May I ask what ur gap was? Thanks And congrats again!

yes i was told at first that march was full. but when i went to take the test we were told that there were a few spots open for march and we could choose june or march. are you taking your teas at another school? cause i thought erwins next test wasnt til next month. We were told that the people taking our test would most likely fill up those spots so you should probably go to erwin with your scores ASAP and ask if they still have spots open. good luck on your test :)

Thanks so much! luckily i ended up passing. i was really nervous that i wouldn't do well because i struggled with the tabe lol. im excited! i will also be attending the November meeting to be in the march 2011 class :)

Thats awesome, congrats. i am taking the TEAS in a few days myself and hopefully will get into the june 2011 semester. unfortunately the march one was full. How was the test? i am horrible in math but i have been working on it. also i heard that the science portion does not count. is that true?
