  1. Thanks for replying! I've been trying to get in touch with you since I've read some of your post and noticed that you went that route that I most likley am going to go on. I'm almost finshed with my A.A and my nursing req's, but the think is that I will most likley end with a GPA of 3.2. I doubt I will get accepted into the nursing program...I've done research and somewhere along I read that its much easier to get my LPN at PTEC and then try to get in the transtional program. Do you know if its more competitive, or is it true that its first come first serve ? If you can provide any info or some of your experiancce that would be awesome! And congrats on how far you have made it on your career :)

  3. Hey everyone, I am going to apply to PTEC soon and I am most likley going to recieve my A.A then go to PTEC but I plan on doing the LPN-RN transitional program. Can someone give me some info on the requierment for the transition, GPA requierments ? I heard that its first come first serve. I would perfer someone who has attended PTEC or knows accurate info. Thanks!
  4. Hey everyone! For all the ones who were accepted to the program conrats! I just wanted to know if it was much easier than the other programs at spc? What GPA did you make it with? My grades arent so amazing and I just wanted an idea?...
  5. Hey! Congrats on being accepted. Where did you go for your LPN? Was the transition hard? Whats the difference from going staright to the RN program instead of the LPN-RN? What steps did you take??? If you could please email me with this info or reply back. EMAIL: [email protected]
  6. Hey everyone! So I am currently in school at spc taking my pre-reqs for nursing. I still have roughly around a year in a half before I can apply to nursing school. My concern is that I have gotten 3 C's that will extremley affect my nursing GPA. And honestly I have been doing some research and I am considering going to ptec and getting my LPN. I know nothing about the LPN-RN bridge program...so can someone explain that? Is it much easier to get in the Nursing program at SPC? If I do complete my LPN at Ptec would I have to go back to SPC and finish their Nursing Requirements there all over again? I'm so confused. I have't taken Anatomy, or Micro or any of that yet at SPC but would I have to complete that? Is there waiting list long as well? Someone please help! I have my final exams tomorro and I need to know what to do for this summer! Thank you! I live in Clearwater FL.
  7. So what do you guys recommend changing my major since I probably have no hope in getting in in the future or do I still have a chance? I'm an average student failing speech. I am determined to take lower classes and aim for "A's"
  8. Thank you! I am thinking of dropping one class. Although if withdraw I will recieve a "W"...but if I dont I will recieve an "F" so thats my concern. Should i withdraw?
  9. okay so i am a freshman in college, this is my secondsemester. i am not the best student ever, last semester i failed worldreligions but i am re-taking it now and surely i am receiving an "a"and now i am taking speech and i am a bit stressed because i'm on the verge offailing. i am taking 6 classes this semester and i don't work because i havewonderful parents that want me to do well in college but i'm a wreck! i justreally suck at math, and literature and all that stuff. i still have a fewsemesters to go before i take anatomy but i am just so passionate aboutnursing, i am 100% i want to be a nurse i've researched so much info onlinesince high school. i have even volunteered for a bit at baycare ( localhospital) and i am currently waiting for my test date to take my cna. i ampassionate with any medical terms or anything that relates to nursing. but whenit comes to math, essay, ethics or any of that i suck. so i know i am still afreshman but i am so freaked out because i'm just not the brightest studentwith my college req's. how will this affect my chances in the nursing program?any similar experiences? i take so many classes because i want to finish so ican get to my anatomy but i am beginning to regret that. any advice please. imay be young but i am passionate about nursing. will failing speech really killmy chances? help!
