I'm taking A&P I this summer I and microbiology in summer II session. I want to do this to help out in my admission process. I 'm taking A&P II now and so far, I'm doing great!
Well I had my first class yesterday. I go 4 days a week with 2 hours in lecture and then 2 hours in lab each day. We started and finished the first chapter and first lab. We found out we will have a test every week in lecture and then a quiz in lab everyday and then two lab tests.Seems doable. Though it was only the first chapter. Today we start the Chemistry chapter.
How is everyone else doing?
Horrible!! Have my lab exam on Monday for tissues, bombed on the 1st lecture exam...and really dont know how. studied all the material I could possibly find, took every pre-test available. The only thing I can figure out, is the exams where made different than what I am used to. You have to first figure out what in the world they are asking for and scanario it in such a way, if you get it, you got it. Did ok on the 1st lab exam - whoo whoo...yeah, sorry...guess I need to go study some tissues, just looking for answers on how in the world to pass this one. Good luck everyone, Some of us really need it
Hi all,
Hope you don't mind me joining you guys/ladies on this thread. I have been posting on the other thread for A&P 1 summer.... Looks like there is more support on this one where people are posting.
I started a&p 1 on June 2nd. Have quizzes everyday (mon thru thurs). Had our first lab practicum (got an A! yeah!!) and our first lecture test is tomorrow on Chapters 1 thru 6.
So much information to digest and understand. I too can't believe this class is going to be over in 6 weeks...how is it possible to learn all this information???
Sanity will hopefully still be there.....
If i start babbling like an idiot...that would be due to A&P...
Thanks for letting me join!
hi, just wanted to share and vent...i really thought I was the only one feeling this is a TON of information to process...i am taking AP 1. our first quiz i got a whopping 70...i felt soooo disappointed in myself, and i studied, and studied :cry:more. now we have a lab exam coming up. we took our first test on thursday, but i don't think i score well on that either....maybe this is NOT for me!!!
I am getting 74 or so on all tests. It is driving me nuts! But I am able to explain things to classmates who are doing better on tests than me so I am not sure why I do so poorly on the actual tests. My neighbor (a RN) said she found people who did well in the bios did not do as well on practical nursing.
Almost done and I will be happy with a pass.
Keep plugging away everybody!
Isitpossible and Babyheart,
Hang in there! It truly is a lot of information to cram in in such a short period. I actually study all the time as well and have a rough time. I'm surprised with my lab exam result. Tomorrow will be my lecture exam and i am nervous as h***.
I about to start studing again. After studing all day today, i had to take a nap. I'm just hoping the information stays in my brain, lol.
Hi everyone!!:heartbeat How are the exams going for everyone?? Im somehow holding onto an "A" in my class.:yeah:Im starting my fourth week(next week is our last!!!) I cant believe its almost overI was reading some of the posts from frustrated peeps who started not long ago... Dont worry guys, it is A TON of info crammed into a tiny amount of time, keep on truckin' ,give it your all, and keep your eye on the prize. Thats all we can do right? Good Luck to everyone taking exams today.Keep us posted:nurse:

nah, i am only doing well because i am putting a whole lot of efford for it since i need great grades, for the bright male nurse start program, and because if i mak3 AAA in ap1 ans 2 and micro, the school gives me 1 gran!
so, i have to do well on the classes!
hopefully (and i know) i will manage practical as well, jsut use a lot of attention, care and critical thinking, and a whole lot of studying!
Had my first lecture exam today which I have been studying my butt off for over the last 8-10 days (chapter 1-5). Got the test and everything was worded COMPLETELY different than it was on our notes so much that there were things that I actually thought "did we talk about this." I'm not sure how I did, I will find out what I made Wednesday. I'm keeping fingers crossed though.
Hang in there everyone! I'm determined to get an A in this class and I will just start studing even more!

Thats where I got messed up as well. I lost points for saying areolar connective tissue and not loose irregular fibrous connective tissue. A few lost points here and there really add up.
