My class starts tonight as well. I am really nervous about it! Good Luck to everyone!

Babyheart...How was your Lab exam?? I had my first lab exam today and I got a 100%!!! :yeah: Mine was on the first 9 chapters as well. I was nervous, but as long as you study its hard to forget what you learned. My first Lecture exam is tomm. and that will be alot harder:typing Are you going for your RN or LPN?:nurse:

I logged into my online course program today. It looks like most of the people taking the course with me are also new to online courses so it should be fun.

There is no lecture but we have been given PowerPoint lecture and lab notes. We will do some lab assignments online and others we will set up the lab experiment in our homes. We can take pictures and post them with our assignments.

My first lecture test is the 9-10th, I can take it anytime those two days. My first lab test is 23rd-24th. My first lab assignment is due on Friday. It's a home lab project so I have to get the supplies today.

I'm slightly overwhelmed right now. I have 2 chapters to study in Anatomy and 3 in Statistics (June 12-15th so at least they aren't the same days). The good thing is that I can study at my own pace and work ahead so if I know I'll need more time in one class, I can make sure the other is done.

ahhhh first day done!!! gosh there is so much information, we already have tons of homework + 23 questions to answer!!!

I am going for RN. Right now it seems so far away but time flies doesnt it.

Hey everybody! We have our first test on tissues weds. I will try to post some questions so yall can see them. I did well on my first 2 lab test but was a little frustrated with the second one. missed some questions just because I got ahead of myself. You know that feeling when your put your test on the profs desk turn around walk to your seat...sit down and think "Oh NO, That wasnt right!" yep....I'm there. I have been drilling my flash cards and I think Im ready. Ill keep everyone posted. Good luck and good days to all!

Here are some questions from my tissue exam - hopefully it is kinda useful

* State the importance of the basement membrane

* Function of goblet cell and location of organ or tissue where found

*3 components of extracellular matrix of areolar tissue

*Define edema and state relationship between edema and protoglycans

*What is meant by a germ layer?

*Tissue type most prone to cancer

*What is an antiangiogenesis drug? Conditions given under?

I am freaking out about this lab exam thursday. Prof said she will not accept answer as mandible - we must state which part of mandible it is - alveolar process or mandibular condyle. All so on. I think this is a bit much - it is a 5 week class and there are so many parts to the bones. Plus we have muscles in there, human and cat and microscope tissues. Hot dang I think I am doomed :selfbonk:

Babyheart nothing is more attractive than someone who just wont give up..you get em honey!:yeah:

I will be taking A&P I in the second summer session, so I'll be keeping tabs on this thread! :)

Now if only I could find a cat...........

hey everyone,

i'm taking a&p i and ii during the summer, breaking down into the first and second half. i have found a manual that is very helpful and good to have. i carry it everywhere with me and glance at it when i get the chance. thought i should share with you guys...it's "mosby's handbook anatomy & physiology - patton & thibodeau" you can pick this at any book store, i got mine from barnes & noble.

this has the diagram, description and summary of what you need to know. when i find something that's not in the book, but is covered in the lecture and we need to know, i jot it down alongside the column. hope this help you guys, as summer session is a cram in a short period of time. good luck to all
