I'm taking A&P I this summer I and microbiology in summer II session. I want to do this to help out in my admission process. I 'm taking A&P II now and so far, I'm doing great!
My lab exam is this Thursday. I had a lecture exam today - not too bad, I think I did ok. I hopeWell done on yours!
I am going for RN. Right now it seems so far away but time flies doesnt it.
How did you do on your lecture exam?? I just took mine today:specs: I got a 90%...but boy was it hard!! My teacher is an excellent one, but gives hard exams. Whew, I was so glad that was over with...before I got to take a deep breath we were already onto learning all the muscles!!
First day was yesterday. We covered Ch. 1 and we're assigned 35 questions from Ch. 2 and 3 that we have to give in depth answers for. These questions will serve as our notes for Ch's 2 and 3. Tomorrow (day 2) we pick up on Ch. 4 which is tissues.
We had lab yesterday where we viewed a pre-disected cat and had to locate all of the organs, and viewed numerous slides of tissue on the microscope. We are moving along fairly quickly but I find everything interesting so far and I am feeling good about this class.
We will have 4 lecture exams, 2 lab exams, and 10 quizzes. I've been studying and making flash cards today getting prepared for quiz 1 tomorrow!
I will continue to check in on this thread to see how everyone is coming along, and good luck to you all!
Hi!
I am 44, and will be starting the nursing program at my school this fall 08, YIPPEEEEE!
Out of 495, I was one of the 50 accepted for fall, and another 50 will be selected out of the group for spring (I was originally accepted for spring, but a young lady took a contract through the U of M)!
Good Luck to you!

it is so crazy!!!!! lotsa material to cover in 2 days and test is tomorrow early am, pluss we have to hand in 21 questions from the book and also our lab exercises!!!
i am up to par because i am familiar with this so far, but if not, it would take like 10 hours worth of studying to cover all of this, i am studying at work, at evey second i can!!! even read notes on cigarrete and bathroom breaks LOL
i am just trying to give some feedback for you that will start this class soon, download the podcast, listen to it, write all your notes, do all of the exercises....
it is just too much to memorize, just on positions, areas of the body, names of organs, basic muscles, basic bones, internal cavities, we have over 280 words!!! that we have to know by tomorrow!!!
i have studied non stop today after class until 3 30 pm, and at every chance i get here at work....
lets see how i do tomorrow
wish me luck guys! :typing
ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH my teacher gave me an 80%
just because instead of THORACIC i wrote TORACIC
and instead of PELVIC i wrote PELVICAL
GOSHHHHHHHHH
come on!!!! it was our first test, we just learned the word yesterday!!!
and you give me the whole 2 questions wrong because of 2 MISS SPELINGS?
ahhhhh
Well I took my first lecture test on Tuesday and I got a 90. I am happy with it. Its an A. I thought I did better and had some silly mistakes. Now to study for the first lab practical on tuesday and the second lecture test over cells and tissues.
Its so hard to think that this class will be over in 4 weeks and there is still so much to cover. Hopefully I will still have some sanity left once I am done.
