I have a degree in respiratory therapy, yet am having a hard time finding a job. I am working as a cna, going on my 7th year and I was hoping rt would be my next step up....unfortunately it's not working that way and I am considering challenging the boards via method 3.
Has anyone successfully done this? What tips do you have?
I'm not the only one commenting & against Method 3. I can comment all I want because I am not going against the TOS. You are throwing a huge tantrum against me, I don't know why. The sooner you realize I can comment in here the sooner you will calm down.
Are you drunk?????? Lol! I'm not throwing any type of tantrum....hahaha. wow, you are very confused lol. If you want to comment, go ahead. You sound like you are seeking attention since you keep mentioning rules and mods and commenting "because you can". This must be common place behavior for you I guess :/ but I'm literally laughing out loud. I must be bad at tantrums if they make me laugh like this
No, I didn't say I never worked as an RT. I said I was having a hard time finding a job. I started out in Nevada and then moved to California after I had a baby. There are no rt jobs even remotely in my area. That doesn't say I never worked as one, it just says I'm having trouble finding a job and not currently working as one. Curb your assumption. Also, I didn't say I was an rt when OR that I was educating on the privy parts. I simply said I stopped a new grad rn from tearing an old woman's privy parts with a catheter. It's not out of my scope of practice to stop someone from hurting someone else.
Also, do you guys think RTS don't take any general ed? No anat/phys, bio, chem, etc? You think it's a quick diagram of the lungs and that's it? You are mistaken. An RT takes the same anatomy a nurse does. Again, you're taking things out of context, assuming, and belittling because "you're a nurse, that's why." Lol.
From your earlier post about your background you stated you worked as a CNA and for whom example travel agency etc, , but you only listed RT as an education and did not list it under titles of which you worked, in fact you only list CNA as a job title so we are correct to assume you never worked as a RT. The hospital I work at if your name badge job title shows CNA, no way would they ever legally let you teach your RT skills to their nurses.

Right. As I previously stated, my work/title/education/location/color of my shirt or any other random question thrown at me is all irrelevant to the question I asked. I didn't state my life story for a reason, I wasn't asking anything to do with it, I qualify, I know that. My question was who has done it, how was it. That's all

Your job history/education/work are not random questions. If you are going to put as little information out there you can't get irritated when people question your stories. Most people start with some back history to clear up any questions posters may have.
If that's what you want to call it. Drifting off topic? How about you did that when you didn't want to answer any of the questions.
My post wasn't for you to grill me. No question was of any relevance to my post. Do you have a point? Or have you forgotten it? Because you can't seem to comprehend the purpose of the post and are acting as if you and I are supposed to be having a direct conversation....I don't know you. I don't care about your thoughts or opinions or questions. I started a thread to ask a question and you are not in any way answering it or even capable of doing so....I don't understand what you think your purpose is? Why am I supposed to be playing 21 questions with you? Your questions aren't even leading to anything remotely helpful or within range of my question :/

I didn't ask if I was qualified, I know I am. There really isn't need to be questioning me. I simply asked for those who've done this to share their experience. So no....my background isn't relevant because what does my background have to do with someone else's experience? I asked to hear personal accounts.
