Anyone successfully challenge the boards?

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

I have a degree in respiratory therapy, yet am having a hard time finding a job. I am working as a cna, going on my 7th year and I was hoping rt would be my next step up....unfortunately it's not working that way and I am considering challenging the boards via method 3.

Has anyone successfully done this? What tips do you have?

A troll? Says the person who just made their profile today. Actually, people did think you were rude & out of line. You just zero'd in on me.

Yes, I brought it up because it has to do with the fact that you won't bring up your education/work history.

I didn't make my profile today. I've had this account since april, never used it except to read until I posted this question. I didn't touch any settings or fill out anything at all today whatsoever.

And for the millionth time: going into detail about my situation is not necessary to seek out other people's experiences. Sigh.

Except for when you did go into detail about other things in your professional life multiple times, then got all pissy because we didn't know the minute details because why? You didn't want to share any details.

Man I missed a lot while I was asleep!!

OP, you are the one who brought your work experience into this. If you had left at you were trying to challenge the boards by Method 3, that would have been fine. YOU were the one who brought up that you couldn't find a job as an RT (you never said you had previously worked as one). YOU were the one telling us how as a CNA you corrected doctors and nurse. YOU were the one talking about how great and wonderful you are. That opens you up to criticism. Your attack on OrganizedChaos shows something about you, your attitude, and constructive criticism.

I'm curious where you see constructive criticism?

Also, the only responses I spoke of myself were in just that....responses. so where I did reiterate that I am not fresh off the boat, I didn't say let's go over my entire life story. It's irrelevant.

Just looking for people to share their experiences.

It's frustrating that the people who have shared have had to choose to do so via private message due to all the off topic nonsense some people have turned this post into.

Let it be known that I am not "pissy" at all. I'm not "throwing tantrums" or "behaving" in any manor I've been accused of so far lol. Every time I open this board I have a good laugh. It's silly to me that a couple strangers with literally no knowledge of my state or the topic of the board have gone on and on trying to.....well I'm not even sure what their purpose is :/ lol

Oh well, Internet warriors are everywhere I guess lol

I posted this request last night:

Okay, I'm going to put my moderator hat on...

The original poster is asking if anyone has successfully challenged the board to become an LVN in California. Let's tone down the back and forth rhetoric about why nursing school is superior to challenging the board. We're beating a dead horse, and it is not as if the commentariat is going to magically change peoples' views.

Thanks in advance, Peeps.

Apparently, the request has been ignored. This thread has devolved into a back-and-forth game of one-upmanship and has outlived its utility. The dead horse is not only beaten, but it is also decaying.

Thread is now closed.
