I take my NET on Saturday...then I won't find out until around June 15th.....I thought my school was the only school that was late....lol

I just got my letter on Friday, and like I expected I didn't get in for the fall. They had so many applications (280 for 80 spots) and because I was either in process of taking some of the prereqs or the two I was going to take this summer, I wasn't even eligible for the wait list. Like you, Heather, I still hoped that there were more people behind me than in front of me. Now I need to decide my next steps...

Kris...I'm so sorry!! I'm still waiting but I'm pretty much in your boat too...250+ applicants and 90 available slots. I've already quit my current job (my last day is August first)...so I just hope and pray that I get in!!!! I have a bad feeling that I won't be getting in either though....

Still waiting here, the rumor is that the "letters" will be sent out June 15th. I just got back my NLN score and it was good, so I'm still trying to be optismistic, but only time will tell! Don't feel alone, there are many others in your exact position.

Our school said not to expect to hear anything until June 15th, also. It's making me nuts because I still hurry out to get the mail everyday, hoping that they got things going early! I have no idea what takes them so long! Spring grades were posted two weeks ago, and our school goes by GPA alone. They put everyone into the computer, rank you by GPA, and the top 140 get in...how long does that take?

I am not sure the total number of applicants they generally get. I don't want to know! It would probably just stress me out!

I'm still waiting also....and it's driving me crazy!!!! ...lol. They aren't sending letters out until June 15th!!@!!!! So to occupy my time I've been looking around at day care centers....I have them on several waiting lists already.

Still waiting here! I called today and they couldn't find 2 of the 4 transcripts that I had sent....and then the admissions lady asked if it might be under a different name. Duh! I didn't even think of that. My transcripts are under my maiden name, of course. So, she found them and they are finally going to process my application. I applied in February! I was afraid that all of the open spots would be gone. But the admissions person told me that Fall 2004 was still open (I knew that 2003 was already full).

Hang in there everyone. It's so hard I just got my letter last week and probably harassed the nusing program for about 2 weeks prior to that. We had 200 applicants for the fall semester and only 40 were chosen. I feel so lucky, especially since I didn't get in last fall, but it gave me a chance to get some more pre-reqs out of the way. So I looked at it in a positive way. I also had more time to read nursing books and things of that nature so hopefully, I will be ready for fall. Good luck everyone and hang in there. Even if you don't get in, turn it into a positive and keep brushing up on medical terminology and do alot of self teaching through reading it will all pay off.
