OOH! I am!! Yay, and so excited, can you tell!!
I have soo many questions, how about you?:bowingpur
I have a ton of questions. I guess we shall find out the answers to them very soon..!!!!!! What campus did you request? I requested days in Daytona. I have heard that they place you where they want...I really don't care what campus I can't believe this is happening. I know we have a ton of hard work ahead of us but I am so ready to get started.
Yep, same here. Days in Daytona. Hopefully, we will get what we want though. So i guess we cant register until orientation? Do you have all your pre-reqs done? I cant wait!!
I have finished all pre-req's and core classes. I took the TEA's test wasn't to happy with my results but I guess I made the cut. I am pretty sure we will find out about books and uniforms and such at orientation. I have been scouring these boards for a couple of months and I took a recommendation for a must have book for nusring students, RNnotes by Ehren Myers. I bought it yesterday at Books-a-Million. I would already be studying if I had our book list. LOL
Do you have your CPR certification yet? I go on July 28th @ 9:00 am. I have my physical done and all that stuff!!!! I am literally sitting and waiting anxiously!
Take Care:D

Congrats to all...does anyone want to share there GPA, Scores, etc ?
I took the CPR class early this month, but havent gotten my card in the mail yet, though I'm pretty sure it will get here before classes start. I haven't done my physical yet because I dont have insurance and the walk-in places all seem to charge an arm and a leg. Do you know where I can get one done for cheap? All my shots are current, which helps!
I did okay on the TEAS, I prepared for it though. My GPA is a 3.3 and I got my AA last spring so... with everything done and a decent GPA, I prayed I wouldn't have to wait to get in.
By the way, Domina, dont buy the CPR book!!!!! You dont need it!!!!! Maybe the mask, which is only like 15 dollars. Just dont by the book!!!!
Hi,
I got my physical @ Employmed. It's right off of Dunn and Clyde Morris. I was told to go there I can't remember the exact price, like a $100 I think. That is what they do all day long, give physicals.
I already bought the CPR book. Oh well!. I have a 3.46 Gpa and I got a 78% overall TEA's score but I did good on the math and reading it was the life science stuff I bombed in!! LOL
I am so ready to get started!!!
Take Care....

Those in need of CPR for health professionals in the daytona area. Check Ormond Beach Fire Dept's main office as it's only $25.00 and they loan you the book/CD. No one "fails" the class and it's the first Sat of every month. The cheapest route and the Captain that usually teaches the class is a riot!! Lots of laughs. The cards come from the college anyway so it's just a cheaper route to take :)

best advice: go to ucf. dsc has a substandard program.

@ post #10, Why do you say Daytona is substandard? That is the second post of yours, which provides no detail.
Anway, congrats on your acceptance ladies! How are things going? Tons of homework?
I'm currently in the CNA program while taking my pre-reqs for LPN, hoping to be accepted in May. I saw that someone mentioned days, is it offered for nights? I'm so excited to apply myself, so I hope you don't mind me listening in... I intend on working as a CNA throughout the LPN course as well....
Take care and good luck!
