Thanks guys for your help!:w00t:

I'm also at my 13th month of waiting

As of the moment they are currently working on June 2009 applications. They are experiencing heavy backlogs as SRNA is inundated with applications.

Good luck.

thanks mage82ph for the information. how you got this information. are you sure they are validating on first come first serve basis. actually i got the file no on june 09...but no update after that.

got it straight from them, called the 800 number yesterday. they said they are still working on june 2009 applications.

it seems they are slower than ever the past months, and much of it is due to the large volume of applications that are coming in.

it would be wise to say that eligibilities should be expected at over 12 months now a days from the date the application was lodged.

I received the checklist today, after almost 14 months of waiting.

IELTS - expired, I need to retake.

Thanks friends I also got checklist. if I get eligibility from SRNA, can I write CRNE from ontario.what is the process. Meanwhile can I practise Ontario if i get any job offer.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

I think you need to check with the college about taking the exam in another province, I know on NS college website there is information on what to do so would imagine same would be said for other provinces

Specializes in intensive care, recovery, anesthetics.

You can only practice as an RN in the Province where you are registered. So if you want to practice in Ontario you have to apply there. While CRNE is Canada wide, registration is not. And it's not an easy transfer either, costs a lot of money and takes time. They will assess everything again according to their requirements.

You can write CRNE out of the province, when you get eligibility you have to fill out a form with the location where you want to write.

bobbantom, if you really want to practice in ontario, then register in ontario. don't bother applying in another province that you don't intend to go to, that's just a waste of your time and money. it is very pointless.

by the way congratulations! you are a step closer to an rn. just know what you want, decide and prepare.

Hi bobbantom

Vacancies for RN positions can be found at healthcareersinsask.ca http://www.healthcareersinsask.ca/Careers/findajob/allsearchresults/allnursing.html

you can submit your resume to the employers found in the website and if any vacancies are unfilled, a temporary work permit might be created in order to fill the position

An update on the nursing job market is available on the Government of Saskatchewan website http://www.gov.sk.ca/news?newsId=2ab4be34-c7fd-4e33-92b1-b1c71ef6346b

Hi.

I'll be going to SK by January 2011 to do my SEC assessment in med-surgical area. My question is do you think it is possible for me to find a job after my assessment and while waiting for the results?

Thanks.
