Hi Dacboo! Sorry for late reply! It's been ages since I last visited this site again. Honestly, I forgot my password lol so I just created a new account instead. :) Anyway, before I leave our country I got already an employer and I was one of the hired nurses of January 2009. I am currently working here in SK as Registered Nurse.

I took my exam last June 2009 and passed it yehey! Currently they stop hiring IEN :( but never lose faith there might be a better plans for you. Never stop dreaming!!! just wait for the right time for you. Keep it up! for those who believed on the beauty of their dreams keep the faith burning.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Hi crushbandicoot. would you mind sharing how you applied while you are here? did you go through an agency?

Hi Nursemich,

Yup my agency is EDI Staffbuilders located in Makati but for most of my friends their agency is Mercan located in Ortigas. Actually I did not apply to any agency at that time, when my employer came in the Philippines I was one of the freelancers (a walk in applicant) but because I need to process my papers in an agency as required by POEA, I choose EDI Staffbuilders. Have you applied online? You can browse Sasksjob though!

Regards.

Thank you..I already submitted some applications there and the response is that they will forward it to appropriate employment consultant. How's the present nursing employment there? Is it still tough to find nursing job? If I have PR status there, would it still be difficult to find one?

Locally educated nurses aren't finding full time jobs. It's highly unlikely that the recruitment drives overseas will happen again.

Just a thought! I can't longer use my first account because I forgot my old password and I can't remember the email account as well! It's up to you guys if you going to delete my first account. But I tell you it's useless though.

To Fiona,

That's absolutely true! But who knows! The world is round! Unsual things happens and usual things doesn't.

Wow! Congrats crushbandicoot29 and thank you for the reply... Let's just pray that things will change in time... Goodluck and enjoy your time there in SK!

hello, i just wanted to ask, is it true that the required IELTS score in applying for the IEN in Saskatchewan is: speaking-7.5, writing-7.5, listening-8, reading-7. for all those who applied for SRNA, did you get the minimun score required or better? please advise

*here's the link: http://www.srna.org/images/stories/pdfs/registration/IEN/ien_english_tests_nov2010.pdf

I think the regulatory bodies have changed the IELTS score requirements. For SRNA, if your score is 0.5 below or above the stated scores, it would be acceptable.

Hi Dacboo!

Thanks and regards to all!

Now how SRNA is doing. is they started issuing eligibility letter?. I am waiting from 2009 June onwards.

Hello there! Newbie here! I would like to ask you guys some questions regarding my status. I applied under the SINP-Family Class and am just waiting for the notice to take the Medical Exam. I'm a RN, Certified Renal Nurse and has completed Master of Arts in Nursing. I'm wondering if I will be qualified to take the CRNE even if I don't have any hospital experience as what I have is training only in hemodialysis? Your comment will be highly appreciated. Thank You!

Only the College can make that decision based on what information you submit

Experience doesn't matter when the Colleges are assessing people for eligibility to write the CRNE. Educational preparation does. The Colleges of Nursing assess your education as compared to local nurses' education and if they're equivalent, you're given eligibility. If they're not equivalent they request further assessment. As Silverdragon 102 says, submit your transcripts.
