Anyone received PVAMU's acceptance letter?

Published

Hello, I just received a packet from Prairie View stating that I have "Provisional" admission to the school, so from what I understand is that all I need to do is meet all the final requirements and I'm good to go. Coincidentally, I just found that it came in the mail after I finished taking the NET for UT. The only thing that is bothering me is that I received the packet already opened. You can clearly tell that it's been pried opened. I know I'm just being paranoid, but I've worked so hard for anyone to mess with such important documents. So anyone who may have received this very packet, can you please put my mind at ease by telling me all the contents of the packet?

Well i got my admission letter today! So happy! I am blessed that i was selected off of the wait list! I get to start next semester as a nursing student!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:anpom:

That is good saneef. i didn't know you were on the waitlist. Congrats! Did your friend find out too?

hi saneef and plover1,

i just read all of your posts. why didn't i see you guys post while i too were anxiously waiting to hear from pvamu con? lol :w00t:

i got my letter too and i sent off everything on the 4th!

i asked plover1 in another post, but does anyone know what to expect in orientation? is that when we will sign for our classes and purchase our uniforms and equipment?

I have the book list if anyone needs that or you can call con bookstore directly and get the list and prices.

At orientation and family day we will register for our classes and participate in transitioning student activities. At the Required Family day we will get fitted for our uniform, take a tour, meet staff, financial aid counseling, scholarship info. Also I am not going to get books until class starts. I always wait until first day of classes. What is the book list you did get?

this is from ms. landson,

for an instate student the fees for the first clinical nursing semester were approx $3,331.00. i have heard students say to plan on about $500 for books and about 250 - 300 for uniforms and equipment. (not included in the registration fees). january 14th will be the official con registration date. you will need to check with treasury services regarding the absolute dates for tuition - 936-261-1000. you will have to pay for the uniforms when you order them which will be during the week of orientation and those costs are not included in tuition. uniforms are ordered through the con bookstore. hope this answers some of your questions.

we do advisement and registration during orientation, so you are unable to register online at this time.

books - see attached - no changes - just make sure to get the latest additions. we are also adding the workbook for the potter and perry fundamentals of nursing text. re: registration - we do the semester one advisement / registration during the orientation process - so you are unable at this pt. to register - m.landson
