  1. Took two weeks to hear a reply. They actually said we would hear something in one week. Then I called at the beginning of 2nd week and she just said we would hear something soon. And about two daysi later I received a call. So I hope you hear some good news soon.
  2. I graduated in December of 2011. I recently was offered a nicu level III position that starts in about 2 weeks. no nicu or hospital experience. I just talked about how i really wanted this job, talked about the hospital, surveys, getting my nrp, my clinical experience there on another unit, and my experience there as a patient when i was younger. it was only two spots for the nicu gn position and i am just happy and blessed to be in one of them. good luck hun. i hope you get it.
  3. CONGRATS madame. I too will be starting on a NICU Level III unit late july at my dream hospital. I am sooooo excited and was happy to read about your experience as a new grad too. I am ready to learn everything it is to know about neonates. Congrats again madame! I loved reading everyone else advice too. very helpful and encouraging.
  4. I was feeling like that too .I graduated this past December and never thought it would take this long to find a job. Family and friends were supportive though. But I was getting irritated by everyone that kept asking "have you heard something yet" or "are you working".Lol. I. would tell them when I heard some good news , trust you will hear the news too lol.
  5. Thanks applejacks36. Very exciting. But like everyone kept telling me ...your day is coming.
  6. Great news. i was offered and have accepted the nicu position. so excited. Thank you God! Thanks everyone who was rooting for me.
  7. Yes. But with woman's hospital there is no gn postings. Just apply to nurse positions and call hr office and let recruitor know you applied. She will forwarded your app/resume to unit manager/ or director.i also visited the unit I wanted to be on and introduced myself to nurse manager. That is how I was able to land an interview. But yes in due time, it will all pay off.
  8. @applejacks36 I know how you feel. Same thing happen with me at the womans hospital. I interviewed in the beginning of april. Great interview . Nurse manager even said i interviewed well. Never heard anything.I called last month and the manager said they were still thinking over it . She said I would hear something soon and to call hr or her back if I didn't hear anything by that following Monday. now it is June . No call no rejection letter. I just stop calling. Tx woman's and Texas's children's are the only hospitals I want to work at to be honest. But I am still open minded.
  9. no news yet. praying for only good news. was suppose to hear something last week. but waiting is getting hard lol. was debating if I should contact hr and ask for an update. or just wait.
  10. any offer yet?
  11. anybody else receive an interview? would love to hear about anyone else interview and other units offering interviews.
  12. thank you madame. I will.
  13. MH fellowship: You have to pay a 500 registration fee if accepted. Kind of crazy if you ask me. But i guess the monthly stipend should makeup for it. I suppose. But experience is experience.
  14. BSN , no experience, I already have my NRP.
