Does anyone know what Clinical Partners or Patient Care Techs make in STL or St. Charles MO?

I am SO nervous for my job interview this Tuesday. I also need to know what to expect for the pay? I will be working while in school but I need to make enough to survive.

HELP.:bowingpur

I work as a PCT and make 11.00 per hour but I am PRN so no benefits. I think if you're part time it's around 9.80 per hour. My differential is evenings extra 1.15 and nights add 1.65 and then weekends add an extra dollar. so if i'm working saturnday 3-11 i make 13.15. my friends make around the same at different area hospitals

If you don't have prior experience, I believe it's about $10/hour....in that ballpark. I had participated in a student nurse internship that paid a bit higher, so when I was kept on as a Clinical Partner, I was kept at the same hourly rate.

As mentioned, there are also shift and holiday/weekend differentials, but I believe those are pretty well set in concrete and I would be surprised if they asked you about those.

Hey, best wishes!! Smile, shake hands on entering and leaving, think before opening your mouth, thank them when it's over, and you'll do great!!

Depending on where you go it's around the $9-10 range. More if you have experience and shift differentials. Good luck with your interview!! :yeah:

I made 12 at DePaul as a CP. I was PRN with no benefits and was in my 2nd semester of my ASN.

I worked for SSM as a PRN tech and started with $12.00 that was 3yrs ago. The only requirement I had to have finished my 1st semester of nursing school.

Question:: When you are PRN, do you qualify for tuition assistance?

I believe PRN's dont get any benefits, at least where I work.

Yes, with SSM you earn $2/hour for the hours you worked in the previous 6 months (I am prn tech). I chose to pass on that option as I wasn't sure I wanted to stay with the facility post-graduation and didn't want the obligation should I chose not to stay there. You are committed to one year with them if you use tuition assistance.

I work for a department at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and make a base rate of $10.18. Any nursing student who has finished 1st semester of clinicals and has no corrective action within the previous 12 months automatically gets a 10% bonus tacked on to all of their hours. Then there are the obvious shift differentials on top of this, the exact amounts I don't know.

I am full time, and benefits are pretty good. Around $60/month for health/dental, and I can use the $4,500/year tuition assistance program. Tuition is repaid 1/2 upon completion of course, other 1/2 after 1 year of service from completion of course.

As far as I know, BJC requires 36 hours/pay period (2 weeks) to be eligible for tuition assistance. Not sure about the healthcare benefits requirements.

Did you make 10.18 and hour before your clinicals? What to PC's make for shift diff's at night or weekends at Barnes Jewish?

I make 10.18/hour base. After 1st semester clinicals, 10% bonus on top of base for being student nurse. Differentials are between $.60 and $1.30 depending on shift (the most for weekend nights, obviously).
