Anyone know where i can find and take individual classes

hi and hello, i was just wondering if anyone is familiar with any school, online preferably, that offers individual nursing and GE courses to students. i dont need to get into their program, i just need to take individual classes. can anyone help me?:confused:

Most community colleges will allow you take classes at their school if you apply to them as a "Special Student"

they allow up to so many hours (at mine its like 30 hrs) alot if them are online. Some are in the classroom.

Excelsior College offers test out exams and you don't have to enroll into a program. Only problem is not all school will accept their exams and the science classes don't have labs.

I am taking almost all of my pre-reqs online. The only one I can't find is Organic & Biochem with a lab. I am taking almost all through ccconline, except for Psych and Sociology which I am going to take through Rio Salado because they are cheaper. I don't know where any nursing courses are done online except for Excelsior. I hope some of this can help you. :) Good luck!

Louisiana State University offers Independent and distance learning for many courses.

You can also check the DANTES and CLEP websites. Google the Collegeboard website. Excelsior also has an online Microbiology and an online A&P.....however, I'm not sure how well these classes articulate into various nursing programs. I know of people who have taken the classes successfully. BTW - I think DANTES still offers a test for Chemistry.

Edukan.org and North Seattle Community College offer cheap online classes. I am taking chem and bioethics.

Check out www.petersons.com. You can search by degree, major, school, or individual courses. It won't give you every school in the U.S. but it does give a good selection. Hope that helps you!
