U.S.A. California

Published

I interviewed for new grad residency program Fri feb 27th 09. I was just wondering if anyone else, whom interviewed, has had any word on being chosen or not being chosen for hire?

hey...so i called the HR department today, b/c i can't take it anymore. i asked for sheri, and the receptionist asked what my call was in regards to. when i told her i was trying to find out when we could expect to hear back, she essentially told me all hired applicants had been notified, but that they were making a list of any applicants that hadn't heard back yet to forward to the interviewing manager so that emails regarding application status could be emailed out.

ummm....so this means i didn't get the job? or maybe they haven't called yet?

they will call/email either way, right?

This is my first time posting, and have been comforted by knowing that I am not the only one anxiously awaiting a decision. I interviewed for L&D and am still waiting. I workt at UCLA RRMC as a per diem care partner and I LOVE it. I have encountered so many wonderful nurses that are knowledgeable and are willing to help each other out. I only say this because those that are fortunate to be hired at UCLA will be blessed to work there.

My understanding from HR was that the directors had until the end of March to make their decision, but.... still haven't heard either way. Once I find out I'll post.

Look forward to hearing from everyone's result.

I Checked the status of my application on the ucla med center's job site. It states Routed to interviewing supervisor, Does anyone whom was hired know what it says for their application status on the job posting site.

hi expo4u..."Routed to interviewing supervisor" just implies that your application was passed along from HR to the department you interviewed/will interview for. i interviewed back in december (i live on the east coast and was home for xmas break so sheri set me up with an interview) and that has been the status of my application since then. i won't find out whether or not i actually received the position until sometime this week or next week, but my app status has remained the same for the past few months. hope this info helps and i wish you the best of luck!!

I got a no from the transplant unit last week. Congrats to everyone who made it.

LAhapanurse...no I haven't heard anything back from the NICU or PICU :(. Have you??

just heard.. no to L&D :(. Congratulations to any who get hired. I wish you the best!

I interviewed for cardiac step down in Feb and both NICU and PICU in mid March. I was contacted by cardiac that I didnt get the job. I contacted both nicu and picu and only got a reply from nicu saying she had an abundance of experienced nurses and doesnt look like shell be hiring anymore new grads :( I contacted picu twice and still havent heard anything yet! I wonder why?

Specializes in NICU.

The problem with the NICU at the moment is that we're going to be opening a second unit -- basically a NICU stepdown -- sometime within the next six months; however, the opening has already been pushed back from when it was supposed to be, and essentially there's two units' worth of nurses on staff right now, so lots of cancellations, holidays, floating to PICU, etc. already. I'm guessing that's why she's taking limited new grads this time around.

Did anyone hear back from picu yet? I've left a couple of emails and phone messages but still no respond.
