Anyone heard back from CSU Sacramento?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Did anyone apply to CSU Sacramento's BSN program for Fall 2009? Have you heard back from them? I'm curious as to when acceptance/rejection/alternate letters will be distributed. I'm a nervous wreck, since Sac State is my first choice. I thought about calling, but I don't want to be a hassle, LOL.

If you applied to Sac State, and are eagerly waiting for your letter or have already received one, shout your news here. :D

Thank you kindly. :redbeathe

I believe you can get permits for downtown through the city so you can park on street without getting towed. You may have to talk with the city and show proof of clinical site. i'll e-mail Teri and see what the situation is. I am not sure if UCD is in the city limits, but i may just take Regional transit down and avoid the BS of find a parking space!

i don't check yahoo groups often enough, I'd prefer a facebook group. maybe ill make one for us facebookers. ;) sorry not to counter your yahoo group but I know how unlikely ill go to it and itll be easier to stay updated with FB because I use it so often that and a lot of 2nd semester students are on there already and can offer help I am sure if they have time :)

Not at all; I don't check yahoo groups all that often myself, as I am also a facebooker and use facebook way more often than yahoo :D. The only reason why I created the yahoo group was because of the possibility of posting files like study guides (that we might not necessarily want to post on SacCT) which I'm not sure we can do on facebook. Anyways, if you do make the facebook group, let us know!

See you at orientation!

We could always combine them and weblink the data files from the yahoo group with facebook. I'm sending you the link now! Or I can always just set up an FTP through my webspace...

Im just curious...why wouldn't you want to post your study guides on SacCT?

Thanks for the facebook group link! Hopefully we can get the rest of the class to join. I'll send a message to the yahoo group (all 5 of us, including me...hahaha) about the facebook group.

Hmmm, I actually don't have a good reason why I wouldn't want to post a study guide on SacCT. The yahoo group came as a suggestion from a current ASBSN student who left a response on the Sac State Fall 2009 ASBSN thread.

"I am currently in the CSUS ABSN program. One suggestion I can give you that our class did was to create a Yahoo group for our class. CSUS will eventually create a blackboard group for you to communicate amongst yourself once school starts but getting to that point is a nightmare. Create a Yahoo group and give the school the link to it. They will send out an email to everyone in your class inviting them to join. It will really help you organize yourselves. Also, it helped us during the program to post files and study guides that we didn't necessarily want posted on official school servers."

haha interesting.. well whatever works, works

My class posted and shared a ton of information, study guides, outlines and class notes. Everyone benefitted and it helped us pull together as a team to survive! Trust me, when someone else posts something that saves you hours of prep time you will be infinitely thankful.

Yes, some of the proffs do look through the boards, but as long as whatever you are putting up is legit and doesn't break copyright, you're fine.

Good luck with school!

Thanks for the advice polka-dot! I'm hopeful that our class will share information and study aids to help us survive the frenzy of nursing school.

By the way, I just wanted to say that your notes are truly amazing! I'm using my free time during the summer to review A&P which I took 2 years ago and I'm so glad I stumbled upon your website. Would you recommend us to do anything in particular to prepare for school?

Also, how do you like the program at Sac State?

Many thanks!!!

i should totally post the abbreviation excel sheet you gave me... unless you have it on your notes page!

Hold off on that Jess...they may be giving you a new one and wouldn't want people to get confused.

If they end up supplying an updated list and people study off mine and don't pass the test....that could be problematic.

Hah, I'll just make it if its different. Thanks though I looked through the list on the site and most of it was what you sent me and i feel confident in already being comfortable with the lingo!
