I applied in September and haven't heard, it's pretty frustrating as they said I would hear by January.
ChayaN! Thank you so so much for this info. I will def look into this! I am goign to see if I should just read the textbooks and then see if I can take these tests once I find out if I;m in.. if I can self-schedule the CLEP I'd just take both in the same day and get them over and done with. I had no idea! Thankyou!
P.S. Our names both mean "Life"
The only thing l have to tell you is to be patient. Once you've completed all your pre-requisites with good grades, pass the NET exam, have good cumulative GPA with Health care or Volunteer experience, then pray and leave the rest for God. Eventually, you will get a good news. l got in last 3 weeks. Good-luck!
Well I've done all that, have a 4.0 GPA, 93% cumulative NET, health care volunteer experience... so I'm just wondering what was lacking in my application that I haven't been accepted yet.
Congratulations! I wonder if you got it by regular mail or by e-mail? And, when do they want you to notify them of your decision? They said at an info session that they would give you two weeks to accept/reject the offer. But is there an open house for accepted students before they can decide?
I actually already sent in my deposit for Columbia so I could get the ball rolling with the enrollment process there and b/c I think it's a great school... but if SUNY DOwnstate did come knocking on my door with a lot cheaper tuition, I'd have to rethink Columbia.
Congratulations again!
