Anyone hear from SUNY Downstate for Summer '09 yet?

I applied in September and haven't heard, it's pretty frustrating as they said I would hear by January.

Well I just dropped off my application today so I'm not expecting to hear anything for a while.... I heard it's very hard to get in though.

What was your GPA like? Do you have health related experience?

The application deadline is Jan.2 so we probably will not here back until Feb. at the earliest.

I had an internship at the Brooklyn VA for a short period and did some volunteering, thats about as far as my healthcare experience goes..I have like a 3.4 but i know its competitive so i'm not really sure what my chances are. I am a NY resident which I know they give priority to. I've e-mailed them again to find out whats going on, only because if I'm not going here than I'm definitely going to LIU Brooklyn in the fall and i'll need to take 2 more classes for it.

I dont have a good overall GPA. I did very well on the prereqs though. I got a letter saying that I need to improve my score on the math portion of the NET for consideration. But it doesn't really sound like I'll get in based on that.

Did you just get that letter recently? It would've been nice if they could've alerted you to that sooner so you could've possibly re-taken it. Do you mind me asking what you got on the math portion?

Yes it would have neen lovely, I got the letter December 26. I got a 60 on math and 90 on verbal, they want at least 65 math and 60 verbal

I did register to retake the NET but this time it's more expensive and more complicated because it's through Pierson

I'm not really expecting an answer right away; however, I hope they don't contact me in May when class starts in June, because I need time to work out my schedule and make childcare arrangements.
