They've been mailed!!! =) This is from their website:

Nursing program notification letters were mailed on July 31 and August 1. Please allow two days for delivery before calling the office to report that you did not get a letter. All applicants have been notified of their acceptance status by mail. Please call the office if you have not received a letter by August 6.

I got my letter. I didn't get in! :( but it says I've made it in the top 60 on the waitlist. I don't know how promising that is haha. Best of luck everyone!

I didn't get in! However my letter says I did get into the top 60 on the waitlist. I wonder if the waitlist selection is a lottery drawing too? Or maybe we have specific numbers on the waitlist?

Thanks you for the links kawaiinomiko. I wish I could apply to those programs, but I have a hold on my record at the university for dropping out of my masters of ed classes.

Hey waitn4eternity, I am sooo sorry you didn't get in! With how many times you've applied they should just let you in the program! =( I'm guessing the wait list selection is a lottery too since we weren't assigned numbers. It's hard to know if any of us will get a call or not, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Is there any way you could communicate with the university about how to lift the hold? Maybe there's an appeal process or at least some other option that would allow you to have that removed? It wouldn't hurt to ask them what options you have.

I have the same questions, but they're closed today! I wanna know when us "wait listers" find out whether we are in or out. I need to notify my other school and I'm sure everyone else has stuff to do! I'm assuming the wait list is a lottery pull because none of us got position numbers. I talked to a friend of mine that graduated there and she said the top 75 has a chance so being in the top 60 is good! And are we wait listed for spring 2013 too? Or how does that work? I wish they were open today so we could get some answers. As soon as I find out, I will post. Have a good weekend, everyone!

I've only got the study guide for the TEAS, I wasn't planning on taking it unless they called me with a testing date. I'm really wondering how this whole wait list system works; there's nothing about it on their website so it's hard to know what our chances are. I guess we'll have to wait for Monday for more info. =/

Good to know there were different wait list letters, I flat out didn't get in and was wondering what the wait list deal was. My sister in law got in off the wait list a few years ago, she said that they called her to let her know. I don't know if it was lottery, I just know she was the 2nd one off the list they contacted because the first person couldn't do it for some reason. I might take the TEAS and apply at Delta, but that's a terrible commute :-/

i was trying to do more research on the wait list thing and i found an old post from this thread. it's from april of 2010 (right before they switched to the once a year application period i believe) and it talks about the wait list. i have no idea if the wait list rules from back then still apply today since things can always change, but it's interesting to know. hopefully we'll get some clearer answers on monday about what to expect. below is the post i read:

apr 22, '10 by strwbrrysublime

hello everyone,

... i talked to the receptionist in the allied health dept and she told me that the way they're going to do it is that they are going to choose the first 65 or so for the fall 2010 semester and then create a waitlist there after. those on the waitlist are going to be moved into any positions that fall out within the first few weeks of the fall semester. the remaining people on the waitlist will be guaranteed a spot in the spring of 2011...

Good research Kawaii!! I wish that was true, but I think they already picked the spots for fall and spring. Sometimes people get accepted into multiple schools and they resign their spot, or sometimes they quit during the first few weeks because it is too hard. I would love to get in, but would feel slightly cheated if they called me in the second or third week after classses started. Or maybe those that quit or flunk out of first semester...we will get their spot for the spring semester? I don't know. We should definetly call and clarify it this week though. Baxter on her said her friend got called in already off of the waitlist...hmm...now I will be glued to my phone hoping they call me.
