Yep. Quite a few have homes and/or live here in Las Vegas. For some I have been their nurse case manager for personal health issues and work-related issues. For others I help coordinate their care while they are here in town and send them to physician's who we've screened as specializing in that celebrities particular "issue". Can't say who, though, because this is a public forum.
Goodness, for a while, I felt like I was the nurse to the stars, Lucille Ball, Mel Blanc, Patrick O'Brian, Vince Edwards, Greg Louganis, George Burns, Telly Sevalis, Liz Taylor, Lana Turner, Gene Kelly, were the ones that I can think of right now. (and no, they were not in jail) Seems that once they get a name of a nurse, they pass it around,I kept running into the same group of nurses at every place. That's when I did bedside nursing and home health. And yeah, there's a long story that goes with every one. The greatest is Liz Taylor, she is the NICEST lady (and I do mean lady) ever, I used to hide candy bars in my lab coat for her and when her new hubby wasn't looking would stuff them under her pillow. (She was very thin at the time. She was a really funny person. and very sweet. and those violet eyes are unbelievable.

Is it OK to share names of patients you have cared for, even if you don't share details? Isn't that still a breach of confidentiality? Or no?
I'm just curious....
Famous or not....they are still patients whose names as well as their "personal health issues and private conversations with their nurses" should be kept STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL! So...MsPurp......no one should scream at you for asking a perfectly professional question. :kiss ?
Yep. And the funny part was, I took care of a guy (in hospital) for/with whom I'd worked in my previous life in the entertainment industry.
Not only did I care for him post-op, the poor guy was really slow getting bowel function back, so me (AKA poo-poo angel) went to work on him, AND he had to be catheterized. I didn't offer to step aside for another nurse, because it didn't seem like that big a deal, and it didn't seem like a biggie to him, either.
Matter of fact, he wrote me and my nm a letter about how professionally I'd handled it, and how I'd taken great care of him. Surprised me.
Love
