Just seeing who else was doing the 100 q a day on saunders. I have roughly 3 weeks left. (june 5th) Just wanting to pick someones brain. I kept score on the last 100 (in all categories) and I got a 78% I am hoping this is good , anyone have any insight? man its getting close but I feel strangley calm at the moment.

ok , I do study mode on all the categories at once.(instead of check marking one category I check mark them all) When I was doing my 100 questions for the day I kept track of the wrong answers then lets say you get 20 wrong and 80 right. they you take .....100-20=80 then divide that by 100 and you get your score. make sense?
Thanks Amy for reply. by the way I'm studying from Saunder's 2 nd edition, i guess that's why mine doesn't work by doing all categories @ one time I have to do only one @ a time. but, at least now i now how to score my level from study mode too. I pray to God that we both will pass our boards @ one time.
I used Saunders CD and book. I did the 100 questions a day for about 3 weeks before the test, scoring 75-80% and I just got my NCLEX results. I Passed!!! I did it in 85 questions. Saunders really really helped, especially w/ the lab values and endocrine which I always seemed to screw up.
I've been using Saunders, edition 2 since I started school 2 years ago. I recently bought Saunders 3 since my biggest weakness is "check all that apply" question. I've been averaging 80% except in pediatrics so I'm focussing on that area right now. I'm not sure if I should go for any other study tools or not. ?
AmyD,
78% on Saunders is great!!!! I was scoring about 65% in Saunders just before I took the NCLEX and I passed and am now a working RN!!!! But I would caution just using one source because I found I did better once I got used to the style of question which is why I used at least 5-7 different sources. Because all the NCLEX books in the world are nothing like the NCLEX itself. I would highly recommend Kaplan in addition to Saunders. Saunders is a good review but Kaplans does a lot of good test taking strategies and has challenging questions. I also used a CAT program through Mosby's. I thought the questions were a bit easier but it was a good confidence builder because it gives you a probability of passing and shuts off when it makes a decision similar to what happens during the NCLEX.
