I haven't even started my pre-reqs yet and I'm already terrified that I'm not going to get accepted. There's only 1 school near enough to me to realistically go to, so I have 1 shot.
That being said, I've always been a worrywart (since I was 5), so I should know better than to let myself even think about it yet. But I can't!
Anyone else already feel nervous about applying?

Yes, I was very nervous before I applied. Was very nervous when taking the Teas and worrying that my score wasn't good enough. I haven't heard back yet and won't for a couple of weeks. I have all A's in the 4 classes that they count and a 78 on the Teas from what I have heard is pretty darn good at my school at least. But I also don't live in an impacted area so it varies from area to area. Even with all of that I am worried that something will go wrong and I won't get in or get into the campus I want to. I am a big time worrier.

Its normal to be nervous during the whole process. I was always nervous from making sure I get good grades for all my pre-reqs to studying and taking my TEAS to applying for the schools and programs. Just stay focused and motivated and you'll be fine!

It seems more common to be nervous and anxious than any other emotions. The best you (and each of us applying) can do is begin preparing early, well ahead of application submission, so that we have a strong application. "Break up the journey": focus on each step, not the the entire climb. Good Luck!

I was very nervous about applying, especially because I was young and dumb about my GPA at one time, which dragged me way down. Thankfully I was able to make it work, and I just graduated!

I haven't started yet and I'm a bit nervous lol. My COMPASS test kind of... sucked?
My school is putting me on the right track so I'm not too worried. Even if you don't get in, try again. If it's something you really want, nothing will stop you :)

Understatement! Until we're 20 years into nursing we probably won't be nervous anymore! First, you're worried about getting straight A's. then you're worried about the Teas or HESI score, then you're worried about, "Am I competitive enough?" Then you worry about getting accepted, then passing nursing school, then NCLEX. Then getting a job in a saturated market. It.Never.Stops.

I was super nervous.....until I finished prereqs (I just finished) and actually had a firm grasp on how many points I will have when I apply.....it all is falling into place....If I do well in my 2 summer classes I will be several points above the cut off for the fall at my school of choice.....I'm beginning to feel more hopeful (I refused to let myself get my hopes up before) and am finally accepting I have a real shot...now to buckle down and do well in these 2 summer classes to seal the deal
