Is there anyone else out there who is currently studying for the CCRN exam and would like to start a thread as perhaps a study and support group? I have just applied for the exam and have not yet set a date, but about in 3 months is when I will be taking it. I would love to be in communication with others in the same boat! I hope there is at least one other nurse out there! Thanks!

LOL I've been a Laura devotee' for many years so of course I have her review course. I saw here at an Acute Skills seminar a few weeks ago - she really is as good as we all seem to think she is! What a blast. Didn't know she was only 4'11", though - I can just picture her now - no wonder she tells idiot docs to "sit down!" before reaming them out LOL.

Seriously, I've all but got her stuff memorized after all this time, and I'm using other resources as well, but I just feel SO unready. Have to get out of this "what if I fail?" mindset. ARGH.:uhoh3:

Listen carefully dear Emernurse, You ARE GOING TO PASS!!! There is NO doubt!!! Imagine it happening....and it will!!

I can't believe she is only 4'11"! That is amazing. She seems about 6' tall to me!

Although...I used her Critical care book too

pacep.org really helped out on the hemodynamic stuff

ditto..I used pacep.org too, but it was the second time I had done it...

Good Luck...I think I will try CSC next. Probably pretty soon (maybe right after the holidays?) Nobody at my hospital has it, so I will try it.:uhoh3:

YEA for 100% pass rate!!! ;) I think a lot of it had to do with the support here!! :)

As for using your credentials, are you signing your name with it on all your charting? Only about 7 nurses on unit are CCRN certified, and I don't believe any of them sign their name with it...so I don't know what to do. I know I should, but... We don't have the greatest support for it on our unit. What are you guys doing?
