  1. Look at all the new people we have on the thread with the great goal of getting their CCRN!! Hooray!!! That makes me so happy!! I have been getting some very encouraging feedback from people at work since getting my CCRN cert., and many people have now decided to take the test and have borrowed my studying supplies. They also took my picture and put it on a "congratulations" page on our website So this makes me happy because before I took it I didn't always get the best feedback about me taking the test. Anyways, congrats to Burnt2 on getting into CRNA school!! I saw your thread in the CRNA forums, I lurk there a lot!! Do you start in 08 or 09? I assume 08, but on one of your replies you said 09..? Good luck to everyone studying, we all know what you are going through and you will do great!!

  7. As for me, don't think I'll get any other certifications at this time, since I'm in the MICU so the cardiac specific certifications seem kind of pointless at this time. But you guys should go for it!! Has anyone worked with a patient on an oscillator vent? And I'm talking in the adult world now, not peds or NICU, cuz I know they are used more often in that world. We have a patient on our unit that we put on the oscillator today, and it has me very intrigued. I have spent a lot of time in that room asking the RT's all kinds of questions. We don't see them barely at all! Just thought I would throw that question out there to get our thread jump started again, has been quiet past few days (ok only 2 days, but oh well!)

  9. Hey guys, have been busy at work this weekend! I now have CCRN behind my name for our computer charting, but for when I actually hand-sign my name on my strips or something (we don't hand sign much, we have mostly computer charting), I haven't been signing CCRN. People have also been very supportive, and I have noticed people are now encouraged to take the test. Until I passed, the 7 who have it on our unit have 20 or so years experience like on CVICURN's unit. So I think people might now be thinking...hey, I CAN do this! Gotta get back to work, very very busy day :) And welcome msn2008!

  11. YEA for 100% pass rate!!! I think a lot of it had to do with the support here!! :) As for using your credentials, are you signing your name with it on all your charting? Only about 7 nurses on unit are CCRN certified, and I don't believe any of them sign their name with it...so I don't know what to do. I know I should, but... We don't have the greatest support for it on our unit. What are you guys doing?

  15. CONGRATS burnt!!! although, I knew you would pass so I'm not all that surprised :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: And yes, I am next and awfully nervous!!!! I didn't get the Dr. Laura CD's like everyone else, but I have been studying with her book and the Dennison CD. Dawn, yes the house has kept me VERY busy, which is making me even more nervous because I have spent some time on the house when I could have been studying. I have spent more time in Menards than I ever cared to!! (don't know if you guys have Menards in your neck of the woods, but it's just a home improvement store like Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.) Back to studying!!!!!!!
