Hello all, I am new to this forum but find it to be quite useful so far. I have a question....I have just recently applied to the Army's CRNA program for the calss starting in 2011. I was accepted by the LTHET board but I have yet to hear from NEU yet. When do you generally hear from them on your acceptance? Also, is there anyone else out there that applied to the same class starting in 2011 at Ft. Sam?

Hey Law-Deezie,

I've haven't done a lot of looking yet but I think Gennaver and Hippiechicc have been accepted. My recruiter said I should be getting a letter soon from NEU.

Hello BK,

I think you are right. It looked to me like HippieChick was accepted as part of her commisioning package, (smart way to go!!!)

I finally signed and sent my acceptance to the LTHET in last week. I sent the acceptance to NEU months ago but, due to my current work situation and command and from reading advice from OTD2 that I need to have complete determination to go or resolve to not go I waited until I had that determination.

Currently I am at the Captain's Career Course at FSH and hope to transfer en route to the course in order to do my ICU checklist/pre-ceptorship at an Army ICU.

I am very eager for this! This forum, and also the other forum mentioned by OTD2 have been very helpful!

Just got the email from NEU that my "official" acceptance letter should be here any day now but that I can start cracking the books now :) I have to go to OBC early since my 42nd birthday comes before the March 24 start date. It was hurry up and wait until now when everything will be ASAP! All lot of posts here have been helpful over the years to get me to this point including yours. I have a lot of people to thank, some I will never get the chance to do so. Hope all is going well with your last steps as well. Where are you doing your ICU checklist/pre-ceptorship?

Hi Guys,

How long was it from the time you submitted your application to NEU that you found out? I am only curious about time to hear from NEU, not time to hear back from the Army (although I love to hear the stories of people getting in!) Thanks,

Application is due sometime in June usually. You should hear back around September-October. I got notification in September but I know others who weren't notified until October. Good Luck

Hello, I was accepted for the start date in summer 2012 for the USAGPAN program as a civilian. I am waiting for the acceptance letter in the mail which will come in a couple of weeks. Will this letter detail the next steps? Is anyone a civilian too and knows what the next step is? I'm assuming getting a NEU letter is next...? Please help, nervous and excited!

Hi everyone!

I am accepted to USAGPAN for 2011 - civilian direct accession route (accepted at NEU) - I am a little nervous and appreciate all of the comments and advice you current/past students share.

Looking forward to hearing from some more 2011 people!

Hello HippieChicc,

I am also a civilian who just received the infamous email stating I have been accepted to the USAGPAN program for 2012. I'm assuming NEU acceptance is the next step? Can you please educate me on the process you went through! The more detailed the merrier! Thank you so much for your time! I am nervous and excited! How is everything going?

I was just accepted to NEU's USAGPAN program as well and am just waiting to find out if I am accepted for commissioning or not. Hope to see you at Ft. Sam next June!

Hello everyone. I am a VA employee, currently work in the SICU. I was accepted for the NEU/USAGPAN class to start June 2012. I am waiting for the offical letter but I did recieve the email confirming my acceptance. I am waiting for the VA selection committee to make final selections. I was told that would be this month, anybody know anything about the VA selection process.

VA USAGPAN letters have been sent out via the Postal Service. They take 4 people out of 16 slots (I think). Just fyi. Good luck everyone.

Hi Sunshineonleith,

I am currently in the 2011 USAGPAN program at Ft. Sam. You will likely need to frequently check up with your army health care recruiter to make sure the ball gets rolling. It was quite a headache, but finally went thru for me... got orders last minute, like just a few weeks before I needed to report. You'll get yours, too, but just be prepared for a last minute everything

That being said, congratulations to you! It is a very challenging program and I truly love it. Take all the time you can now to enjoy your family... don't stress about the program in advance, you can and will succeed. I also think you will be the first class to receive a doctorate.
