Anyone from Daytona Beach Community College

Has anyone appied and been accepted into the RN program at DBCC? If so what was your GPA? How were your NET scores?

LOL. Dropping mine was very hard for me. I waited up late to get the last BSN prereq's I needed as online classes and did NOT want to give those up. But, the tuition was due and (since I don't get any kind of aid) I didn't want to pay it when I knew I was doing the nursing program.

WELL, that makes pleant of sense, if I had to pay in advance I would have done the same thing. Like your self I waited up very late to register for those classes.

I don't know about the Daytona campus book store but, I believe the Deland book store sold stethescopes and blood pressure cuffs last semester.I don't know what brand they were. They also had the clip boards with the calculators, etc.

I am pretty sure that I also saw stethascopes and blood pressure cuffs in the daytona bookstore. I suppose after orientation I will go in there just to get a feel for there prices for our lab kit and things like pen lights.

How did you get a nursing scholarship before you knew you were in the program? How much? I got a scholarship for $1000.00 but is says that i have to be 12 credit hours which I just don't think I can do this semester. What do you guys think?

Well I emailed the scholarship department and I am goin to be able to get my scholarship with the ten credit hours! I am so excited. :yeah:

That's good, I had hoped they wouldn't fault you for that. I'm getting excited. I got Dosage Calculation Made Incredibly Easy, I've ready about halfway through and it has really helped to ease my anxiety.

The lady told me just to make sure that I brought the letter to her. So I did my thank you letter today and have that in my purse and I will turn it in when we go to orientation that way I can see it on my account right away!

Where are you purchasing your books for class?
