Has anyone appied and been accepted into the RN program at DBCC? If so what was your GPA? How were your NET scores?
How many credit hours did it say on your scholarship that you had to be enrolled in?
It says that I have to be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, which our first class is 10 so no prob. I actually had a problem with most of the scholarships for nursing requiring that you go 12 credit hours when they changed the whole enrollment process in the first place. So unless you take a BS class along with you nursing stuff, it's no good. Call them and point that out, let us know how it goes.

I will, I just tried to send them an email, and when I was finished and went to send it through falcon mail it timed out.
Well hopefully they can help me, because I do need all the help that I can get!
Do you get scholarship often from Dbcc?
The bridge loan is what the school offers when you are waiting for your federal loan to be completed and you still have tuition to pay. Since we can't register until orientation we can't finalize our loans until after then either... and they still won't be final until after the tuition is due... so they offer a DBCC bridge loan for the interim period.

OK! Well I guess since I was already registered for classes for the fall before I found out that I was getting into the program is the reason they already sent me my promissary note and stuff. I was a little confused. I know you can get a falcon loan to get your books from the over priced book store.
I'll probably end up having to get a stinkin book loan too. I hope they get this financial aid straightened out, I'm bout pullin my hair out. This is not the semester to get it all messed up. Last year I knew what my grants etc were by June.
Finanacial has really dropped the ball this semester. I know they fired a few people at the end of the spring semester so they are short people. It is hard to plan for a semester when you go in not knowing how much money you will have. I usually get a grant each semster too, but I haven't then that pop up on my financial aid summary either.
Either way, we have just a week until we find out everything we wanted to know!

I totally agree with you there and it's VERY frustrating. It's not like we're trying to take ENC 1101. There are a LOT of necessary school supplies that we will need that the bookstore just doesn't have (i.e. scrubs, scopes, etc). I understand being short a few people and implementing a new computer software program, but that was just poor planning on their part. The want to be considered a 'state college' but they can't even get there game together as a community one. Doesn't look too good on their part.

I don't think so. I think I am going to call the scholarship department and see what they have to say. When you log in to falcon mail into the area about my information, what does you major say? I am going to be really upset if I can not get a scholarship now, I don't know why they would give me a fulltime one when I have always been 3/4 time?
