Has anyone appied and been accepted into the RN program at DBCC? If so what was your GPA? How were your NET scores?
Me too. They called to verify my last name spelling and I took the chance of asking if they knew yet if I was on for days or evenings and she said they won't be able to say until Orientation. I am going crazy not knowing and I also spoke with financial aid who said we can't complete our loan paperwork until we are registered for our classes (which we don't do until Orientation)... so even longer to wait on $$.
That said... I'm still really excited!!!
Do you have a different last name that they would have to call you for? I was already registered for classes from pre-registration, so I was able to do my promissary note already. You could always register for different classes and then drop them once we register for nursing classes.
I wish they would tell us something. I am wondering how they do things at orientation and how we make our schedule. There are so many people going to be there.
Yes, my name is weird. I am legally one name but hyphenated one document accidentally and she called to verify which was correct.
I spoke with financial aid yesterday and basically, once I register for classes I can complete the remaining documents for my loan. I asked if there was anything more I could do now and she said no, that I would have to wait. Eh, whatever... (shrugs)
YES!!! OMG. That's like $741 for the first semesters books!!! Thankfully, my employer will reimburse my books on my 1st check after I submit my receipts. Whew!!! Otherwise I'd probably have had a panic attack by now. LOL.
I have to admit, there are some good sides to waiting.... I nearly have my computer room organized (including ALL it's miscellaneous boxes of 'to be filed/shredded/tossed' stuff).
Oh, and I meant to post. Walgreens is having a KILLER sale on school supplies. A 5pk of Bic highlighters are only 5 cents! I think I must have picked up 15 packs already.

Yeah I was like holy crap 14 books, this has got to be a joke. I think I am going to wait on the recommended stuff and see what we reallly need. That is $300.00 in extra books.
We are in for some serious reading!
