The lady told me just to make sure that I brought the letter to her. So I did my thank you letter today and have that in my purse and I will turn it in when we go to orientation that way I can see it on my account right away!

Where are you purchasing your books for class?

I hope my thank you note doesn't sound too cheesy. I was told not to turn it in before orientation because our program code still says pre-RN and won't change before we register. Make sure your program code changes to RN before you turn in your scholarship paper or they'll take it from you!!

I'm going to the bookstore but I'm worried cause the most we can get in a book voucher is $300.00 which is not enough for all the books. Can we a book loan too?

I figured I would wait until after orientation, where I assume that we will register and our major should change. I know that I can not afford to drive there all of the time and the lady told me to bring it to her. So I suppose we will see what happens. I can't wait to see my major change, that is like a dream come true.

Yes we can get a book loan also, that we have to repay in sixty days.

Book vouchers are avaliable Fall A - Available August 18 - 29, 2008 and then books loans are avaliable august 11, but you must take the list with the prices of all the books and lab kit with you when you apply for the loan otherwise they won't give it to you. The lady told me they plan on being really busy because of the issue with the loans.

Are you going to get the recommened books also?

I'm pretty sure you can still get a book loan, $800 if ur full time.

At my previous school the library was giving away past editions of their nursing books so i grabbed em . Even though they're old, I'm gonna guess that the basic dosage calculations would be the same. So I've been going over conversions. Doesn't seem too hard. We did alot of conversions in the chemistry class I had to take my previous school.

I never took Chem, I was registered for one in the fall, but I won't be making that class:D. that is nice that your old school was giving them away, what school did you go to?

I would think that our library would keep copies of the books so then if you can't afford some of them then you can always go there to look over the information.

Did you buy your stethascope yet? I haven't but I really want to!.

The school was in md. I haven't gotten anything yet. Waiting for financial aid. Oh I did order some shoes online, but thats about it.

what kind?

skechers, which i think are ugly but someone told me they were good, so i'll see how they work. I tried to find all white classic new balance, but couldn't find any, and right about now I don't feel like driving all over creation.

I like newbalance, they were always comfy! I also heard nursemates were good.

Yeah I have been going over it in my mind, and i can't figure out how they do everything during orientation, because RN and LPN are there for alll campuses. So I am thinking they must talk to us maybe all as a group and then we have to go into seperate class rooms and get all of our information.

thats a lot of students! i can't wait , i'm so excited and nervous! I got my letter for the cpr class and it said how you need the book and mask for registration. I'm just worried they won't let me in without it. I'll probably break down and get em anyway.
