Anyone currently studying for the CEN exam??

Hi!!

Is there anyone else out there who is currently studying or is planning to take the CEN certification exam sometime in the next 6 months or so who would like to start a thread as a study and support group?

Personally, I have just started this process and would really like to have a support system through Allnurses.

Yes, I was tired afterwards. The ENA Q&A actually was helpful than any others. Thank you....

OK guys I went today to take my CEN...I'm about 30 minutes into it on question #50 and THE LIGHTS GO OUT!!! The computers had a battery backup so we were able to keep going while someone went to get the gal that worked there. Come to find out the whole block went out so we stick around awhile waiting to see if it was coming back on...didn't, had to reschedule.

Sad thing is this happened to me before when I went to take my NCLEX the power was already out that time but man am I jinxed or something....ugh!

So I will take it a on the 7th hopefully they'll "leave the lights on" for me...lol

a quick question. i have the ena q&a, which i am just starting, and the ena core curriculum . i understand the core curriculum is an outline and that some deeper reading may be necessary for newer nurses.

does anyone have any suggestions where this deeper material could be found? thanks in advance.

Wow, that's terrible! And to happen TWICE!

Phew the power stayed on this time and I PASSED...strange but I did the worst on prioritizing care, I think I read too much into the questions. Now it's time for a drink :)

Hi, Glad to see others planning on the CEN. I have test issues so have never taken it (and have been in ED for many, many years). I made it my goal to take the exam at the ENA Convention in September, so have started reviewing. Will check in here from time to time to see how this group is doing.

Are you still planning to take the CEN exam in Sept at National? I am going to National but not planning to take the test until October. I took it 1 year ago and did not pass (lacked 10 correct answers) and have been afraid to retake. 3 of us are taking a review class in early Sept and then taking the Exam in October or early Nov. Anyway Good Luck! :DI am so looking forward to National, it is always a blast!

I too am going to the National ENA Conference. I have thought about taking the review class there but am still up in the air.....by the time I get up the drive to do so it will probably be full! Maybe we will run into each other in Minneapolis?
