Hi, I'm new to this site, and I just wanted to see who has all applied to North Georgia College and State University. Anyone with experiences, or others who have applied please reply with your stats...It would be greatly appreciated!
I'm just trying to get a general idea of what my stats should be like or what I should expect if im accepted. I have a 3.5 GPA and I just recently took my TEAS saturday so I am waiting on my score (Crosses fingers) :):):):)
Second time waitlisted......I'm devastated. I feel sick. I was waitlisted last year...and now here again...???
It happened to me and they contacted me June 10 and let me know that I had been accepted...several students that are now in with me had the same thing happen..so don't give up hope!! you will most likely get that letter later...Chin up!!
Yes, I have been here a few years...pretty much since the moment I started school working on my pre-req's. I always wanted to go to North GA...it was my school of choice, but I never knew how well I'd do in school...so I had some other options as well.
I am so happy, and I can't believe everyone has to wait so long for mail. I will be out tonight, and won't be able to check in until pretty late, but I hope everyone will post here and let us all know something!!!

Haha! Well, why I was asking was because I have a business partner in printing and graphic design who also happens to be a Chief with the Cherokee Co. Sheriff's Dept. He said there is an investigation into nursing schools not accepting older women. I'm 42. I have a GPA of 3.91, started classes Fall of 2010 and have 45 hours, all A's except an 88.7 in Algebra. My TEAS was a 79.2. When I was told about the investigation, it made sense...I just don't know if it is the case here!!!
There are several students on my campus (LT) and gainesville that are "older" there are atleast 5 that are mid 40's, im 30 and 3 other students are mid 30's. So im not sure if they really do discriminate against age..but your GPA is crazily high and you really should have gotten in. I really will never understand how they choose. Maybe the other students had a higher teas score..but I do know that a few of my friends with like 3.7's (in their 20's) were waitlisted in 2010 also. So don't get discouraged..you very well might receive that thick envolope mid june. GL- and keep us posted. :) you will be very surprised by how many don't show up or don't do it after orientation..so even after school starts you may get the invite.

Hi everyone. where on the waite list are you. i didnt get my letter, i found out they had gone out from here so i emailed them. Now i am afraid i would get off the wait list and wont get that letter too...I emailed and got a reply that i am on the top group. Going to call and see which part of the top group i am.
Awe! I'm in the middle of the top. I don't know how many are on the waitlist, but I am sure the tiers are less than 10, maybe even 5 each. There were 707 applicants, so if you got a waitlist letter, it's a "compliment"! Doesn't do much for us though, does it! They took my personal email address to notify me if I got an acceptance letter. She asked how I preferred to be notified. We will see, is all I can say!
I also got on waitlist! Sure hope it's a "compliment"! I would also be very interested on how many are in each tier! Good luck to those on waitlist and congrats to those accepted!!
Hi all, I was waitlisted as well. I hope that is a compliment and not a rejection in disguise. Did North Georgia send out rejection letters? I was just told I was in the top portion of the wait list. I'd love to know if anyone finds out how many are on the wait list.
I asked if there were 50 and she said, "oh no, no, no...nowhere near!" So I would say even 30 is high, with 10 in each tier. I don't know why it has to be so secretive, haha! So if there were only 30 wait-listed, with 160 accepted out of 707 applicants (some of whom did not even qualify), I would think that it was a compliment.
