Anyone applying to MJC or San Joaquin Delta College?

I'm applying to MJC and Delta for Fall '10. Just wondering if anyone else out there is also applying? :)

Well, I think those conditionally accepted are either in or alternates, so it definitely means something. The question is where we all stand on that list ;)

There's no way of knowing where a person stands compared to another person unless the school post stats of those which were accepted. Otherwise it's just fuel for anxiety.

To all you delta applicants: Does anyone live in the Sacramento area? I am in Sacramento and will be commuting if I get into Delta. Trying to find some people in my area so I can have some study buddies : ) Good luck to everyone waiting! I got the congrats you can send docs.... letter too. I am so anxious I can't even stand it. I really don't want to wait another year :0 Hopefully I will meet some of you this fall in the Nursing Program.

I'm the other direction~I live in the East Bay. I am so anxious, I feel like this wait is taking forever! Honestly, I was excited and optomistic before, but not so much now. I've talked to three different people that have received that letter in the last few semesters and with each one, there was something "wrong" with their paperwork. I'm just so nervous that something won't be perfect and there are no second chances. Oh, well, nothing I can do about it now! I just hate having to wait 2 more weeks...

Well, I just found out I got into my 1st choice school, so no Delta for me. Best of luck, ladies!!

Thanks! It's LMC (Los Medanos College) in Pittsburg. The school and hospitals are much closer to my house and it's where I've taken all my pre-reqs. I had such a slim chance of getting in (it's all lottery), I never thought it would happen...especially not my first try!

I applied to MJC for the first time. Im so anxious. My husband believes there has to be more criteria than just a pure lottery. Hearing about Delta Im not sure which is worse. Just pray i get in....

Only 7 more days until we find out!! I'm so anxious I can't stand it. I wish the email was like last semester and said we were CONDITIONALLY accepted. It only said we would be put in "final ranking" if we provide all of the correct documentation. This is driving me nuts. Also I just found out I didn't get into my 3rd local choice (Sierra College). Delta is my last option. Crossing my fingers... Hopefully I get to meet some of you guys this fall ; )

BigTicketRN - I also applied to MJC for the first time. When I dropped my app. off they told me that there were over 600 applicants and only 73 spots available. Crazy! Did you also apply to Delta?

I feel your pain. Here in Sacramento, our schools are getting around 1300 applicants and take around 40 people per semester. Its AWFUL!!
