Anyone Applying to Delta College for Spring 2011

Published

With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.

Looks like I'm #415 so there's quite a few. I'm hoping that quite a few don't have all the pre-reqs, but that might be very wishful thinking :-)

Woooow 415!? when did you submit your app?

I didn't end up finishing everything and submitting it until the final day, but it was pretty early in the morning so I'm sure there are still quite a few behind me. Is it really awful that I hope people don't get their documentation in on time so that we can all get in? I'm so nervous and excited!!

KWADE - its okay to wish that because that's what i kinda wish too!! Getting into a nursing school is not easy today, and after all the hard wark we have done, we want to get in!

Sirberry, I was accepted to Stan as a 2nd baccalaureate student. I don't know what the debate is. I withdrew after I was accepted to my school of choice closer to home. I found their 3 year program to be geared for the younger, inexperienced student. With my degree and work experience, I feel like some of the classes would be redundant. They don't even go into the hospital until the last week of the first semester. I feel like the program is geared for the faculty more than the students who want to get into the workforce.

Lanakopp, let's hope we get an email soon to submit everything!!! I know it's not the final step, but anything towards it is exciting!!! I'm not normally a nail biter but I fell like by the time I hear from the school I have applied to I won't have any nails left :-)

Thanks. That is really good to know. I feel better now about my decision to withdraw my Stan college application, which I did about 2 weeks ago, after playing phone tag and wondering what was going on. It just didn't look promising, and I think I have a better chance of getting into Delta, which is much closer to my home. The only bad thing, is that I still want to go for my BSN, so I will eventually have to go back to get it.

What school did you decide to go to? Is it a ADN or BSN?

That means you'll be ready for nursing school! Most schools require students to trim their nails really really short hahaha.

Well I have a head start then :-) I really hope we get emails tomorrow to submit our documents...I can't stand it if they wait until the end of the week or later. I feel like I have OCD w/my email. I have to check it like a million times an hour...just in case something might have come in!

kwade84 - Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. Filed all the nails down about an hour ago and check the email and this site every half hour...just in case. lol

I applied on 09/20/2010 at about 3:20 pm and I was number 477.

Hi pagan95337 - thanks for checking in. Wow 477! Has anyone heard how many spots are available for spring 2011?

Kwade: me too! I think this whole nursing thing is making us crazy :uhoh3: lol. Hopefully they'll send out emails tomorrow, that way we'll get the final rankings sooner.......... I hope.
