Is anyone going to put in their application this fall for Spring or Summer 2010?. I'm excited about finally getting to put in my application, I'll be attending the August 1st info session and be applying for the summer session. I will still be taking pre-reqs in the spring and I was so relieved when I found out I don't have to have everything finished to apply. My GPA is currently 4.0 and I should (I hope!) be able to keep that up until next spring. I'll be done all my sciences at the end of this summer semester and only have a couple math, a history and a pile of social sciences to do (music appreciation anyone!). The admission essay is making me nervous, but I have lots of time to work on it - I hope my GPA helps me out and they don't rely on essay alone.
I'd love to be in contact with anyone looking to get into CU.
BTW - I was going to go to DSN, but changed my mind since I decided to retake some old classes, and since we're paying for our own kids to go to college at the same time, needed to keep the cost down.
Thanks limeade! I did request the Summer 2010 accelerated program when I applied so I am very happy with where I ended up. I literally got my call list letter, signed the paperwork and dropped it off at the post office within an hour. I kind of wonder if they kept a spot open for the first person to return the form and that's how I got in :) Good luck and I hope you have good news to share with us soon.
Hey Cdids would you mind sharing your stats with those of us who are going to be applying next year to UCDenver?
Thank you!!
So, it's April 5th, and still no letter. This past week has been torture. For anyone else still waiting, I spoke with my advisor this morning, and she said the last batch of letters was sent out on Friday. Hopefully one will show up in San Diego today. Even if it's bad news, it will be so much nicer just to know.
Orchid09... I forgot to tell you my stats like I promised.
I have no previous degree. I have a 4.0 in my pre-reqs. However, 20 years ago I had a less than stellar GPA because of one devastating semester (
I have no health care experience or volunteer experience.
ajwarr - I know what you mean about not knowing. I don't 'mind' getting a no, because at least I know where to go next. I can't handle limbo. Just don't give up your dream to be an RN! :)
Sand Dollar, thanks so much for the encouragement! I definitely need it, at this point. I'm dreading the thought of putting myself through this process again next year.
Sasha b, have you tried calling the Admissions main line: (303) 724-1812? I tried this morning and got through. Also, where are you located? I'm in San Diego, which may be why I didn't get anything today. I'm hoping that the reason for such late notice is because my name is at the end of the alphabet. If a letter doesn't come by tomorrow, I just might lose my mind.
ajwarr-
I am in Colorado and still haven't received anything. I called today and left a voicemail for Connie Franklin and sent her an email. My last name is in the middle of the alphabet. I would at least like a phone call or email back... I have sent so many with no response. At this point I just want to know yes or no so that I can start making plans. It seems everything is so contingent on that letter. I'll let you know if it does come tomorrow but I'm trying not to hold my breath...

Thank you Sand_Dollar I REALLY appreciate it!
Still no letter today, April 5th. Cookie Gowdy no longer works there and I can't get anyone to email or call me back since March 16th. Is there any hope!?
What? I wonder then that happened. I was just e-mailing her the other day. hmmm I had trouble contacting the other admissions specialist and Cookie was the only one who helped me.
Hi Sasha b! Connie is my advisor, as well, and she is definitely a tough one to reach. I actually did speak with her on Monday, but only because I called the Admissions main line, and she happened to answer the phone. The only information she would give me is that the last batch of letters was sent out on Friday. I'm surprised you didn't get one yesterday, being that you're in Colorado. This wait is the worst, isn't it? Hopefully today is the day!
