Anyone applied for an Internship for Scott & White, June 2012?

The deadline is the last Friday in March. From now on I going to open my options because I am now aware competition is pretty fierce for jobs; for some reason I just assumed a job was going to just appear and float down in my hand like a feather, how naive. BTW I graduate this upcoming May. I am starting to get pretty freaked out about jobs now. And, have you all heard anything about Scott & White? Seton was my first choice, but I'm just making more room.

So sorry jackfackmasta!! It doesn't look like I am even going to get an interview. E-mailed recruiter today who said NICU and L&D were only planning on offering a very small number of internships this time. Do you have a plan B?

Nope. Ironic part is that the perception was they loved me. The educator said she was impressed by me and was excited reading my resume and gave me her business card which she said she doesn't normally give out. The other recruiters seemed to really like me to. One said we need someone like you.

I'm happy for the others that made it and good luck. Ill just have to keep looking and hopefully someone will accept me. Its their loss.

What did they say in the email saying you didn't get it? For me, they invited me to reapply in Jan and invited me to apply to some medsurg positions. Is that a good thing or just something they tell everyone?

Nope. I got the email from the nurse recruiter, too, saying that they were already interviewing. I'm disappointed I didn't even get an interview, but I guess you never know what they were looking for. Oh well! I guess Scott and White is not the place I was meant to work!

I got accepted to the MICU internship starting June 18th! Is anyone else relocating to the Temple area? I am moving from the Dallas area and want to find a roommate for a two bedroom apartment close to the hospital. I do not know anyone in the Temple area or know of any apartments. If anyone has any information or advice about where to live then I would appreciate it! Hopefully someone out there is looking for someone to split rent with :)
