Any UCSF Mepn Applicants?

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hi everyone--

Has anyone else out there applied to the UCSF MEPN program? They're supposed to send out letters this month (December) for the interview process. Has anyone gotten a letter yet? Will those that aren't asked to the interview process get a rejection letter now?

Crossing my fingers...!

Ahhh! My mail carrier comes in half an hour. I'm gonna scream

Shortcake, are you the fun person I met on the 25th who works in pediatric opthalmology?

:D

hey star! wow, yes.. i was the short asian girl you met! lol good memory. how's the news on your end?

I am in Redwood City, CA, ~25 miles from SF and no notification of any kind in with my mail today... I shall continue paying homage to the mailbox tomorrow.

I made it!! Ran to the Castro to check my mailbox, ripped open the envelope and only read the first sentence. Saw a friend, who actually read the entire letter.

Congratulations to all who made it and best of luck to those of you who are on the wait list or will reapply next year.

See some of you in June.

Congratulations PotreroLCSW!! I met you on the 18th and just knew you would make it. Very happy for you Sir and your future patients. Best.

So, first of all, may I say that if you are a Will Ferrell fan, go see Semi-Pro, which is absolutely pee-your-pants hilarious.

Second,

What's up my classmates?:yeah:

Here's my happy dance:

Right before the movie, my mom called me (I had my mail sent to my parents' house) and yep, I'll be seeing you guys in June!!!!!!!!

ACNP, representing!

I got the phone call from my housemates earlier today....after they spent an unbelievably long time reading the date on the letter, the address line, etc they got to the important word...."congratulations."

And a big congratulations to everyone else that got a similar letter today! Looking forward to starting in June....does anyone know the official start date?

Congratulations to everyone who got happy letters, and to those who are feeling down now --apply again, and again if you need to. The world needs nurses as passionate as you all are.

As for me, I am still waiting --and like twenty minutes from SF. Can you believe it? After I read the first post about opening letters I couldn't wait --and then no envelope in my box this afternoon. Maybe tomorrow.

At least I have a stats exam to distract me!

All the best

True. I applied and was rejected a few years ago. If this path is what you want: DON'T GIVE UP.

This year, I got in.

As to those who are still waiting, I hope you all hear the best possible news.

...."congratulations."

Hey trav - we met on interview day at the juice and cookies reception - look forward to seeing you in June!

Wow. This is total agony. I left work early after seeing all the posts yesterday and I got a call from a girl I met on interview day--she got her letter and got in--she lives like 10 minutes away from me!!! And all I had was a stinkin Comcast advertisement. Patience is obviously not my strong point.

okay,

so apparently i am still in the waiting game, so existential.

i am alternate #1 for my specialty. hopefully i will be seeing some of you in June. I am still totally committed and prepared to wait and cross my fingers --I have been headed in this direction for a long time, and trying to look at this as yet another set of stairs.
