Any students in their last semester just SICK of school at this point?

Big case of senioritis here. My final exam is in 97 days, then I graduate 11 days after that (lol, have to make sure we pass the exam before we actually graduate!).

Anyways, I am a bonafide senior in nursing school now, as you can see, and I am just sick of school. I can't wait for it to be over. I'm not really excited for clinicals anymore, like I was last semester. They just bug me more-It's not like the real world, the care plans are annoying (no one really writes these in the real world, not like this anyways),at this point, there just aren't that many new skills left to learn, you know the deal if you've been to clinical. I just want to be finished!

I want to have a real job. I want to get paid! (i haven't had a real job in quite a while) i want to be done with waiting for test grades to be posted, to try to remember everything about a certain set of diseases in 2 weeks we have between tests, the pressure, the whiney people in school, etc etc etc.

I just want to be done!!!!!!!

Well, I'm definately ready to be done with school. I miss working - it's been 3 1/2 years since I've worked (out of the home anyway). I do like my clinicals though. It's not stressful at all, very relaxed atmosphere. Just hold on...it will be over before we know it!

I feel your pain. I'm so sick of nursing school right now. I can't wait to start my internship and graduate! Only 94 days left!

shoot, im not stressed at clinicals at all, I'm just fed up with the waiting for graduation, lol.

I have been in school quite a long time and can't wait to be done. I've joked i'm going to burn my clinical uniform after graduation to celebrate, lol.

I hear ya. I hate my nursing school so bad at this point, that I don't even have the energy to fight or stick up for myself anymore. We are not even having a pinning ceremony. We have petitioned the school and did all we could and still no go. However it used to be a big deal and I was so upset that we were going to be the first class at my University ever to not be pinned, well guess what? At this point I don't even care anymore. Come May I'm out of there and thats all I care about.

Graduating here on May 11th!!! I'm ready for the end! Finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, somewhat nervous but very ready for it to be over!!!

I have found it really hard to get into the study mode this semester! I am just so ready to be done and get on with life! But now I am starting to stress about the NCLEX!

lol, I can see the point, but!!!!!! .... I really do hope this is a joke. I have a book that my grandmother used in her nursing school. It is such a precious memory, and a motivational item for me. I wish I had her uniform too. :crying2:

When I finished last june, I was so stressed out!!! Clinicals DO suck. Tests DO suck. And everyone has a kinda BLAH! attitude on school to be over. But a couple of words...we all said that we were gonna have a book/note card/uniform bonfire after it was all over. Thank God we didnt! Now i have the memories and books in case i ever need to look something up.

Just keep saying to yourself......remember when I started and I had 180(or however many) days to go? :uhoh21:

Yes, I still wonder how I did it. :rolleyes:
