HELLO Future Nurses!!!
I was getting familiar in this forum (I posted a couple of responses in the PBISON thread several minutes ago.)
But I was wondering are there any aspiring nursing applicants out there in NYC who would be applying next year to any programs? Anyone attending NYC City Tech, BMCC, Laguardia, Queensborough, Kingsborough (it doesn't even matter as long as you're in NYC, (smile) Would like to have an application buddy or buddies. I figured maybe I can get to know some folks now and as we we get closer to the deadlines, we will dive into the process together.
Feel free to respond here or send me any messages, and we can swap email addresses or something.
I just completed my first semester of clinical nursing at BMCC. There is a Math exam at the very beginning of the semester. If you don't get an 80 or better, you can repeat it once. If you fail a second time I believe you fail the class. There are 10 questions, no partial credit, you must get 8/10 correct.
Hey,
I took A&P 2 elsewhere, but I have microbio and english II left, if I get in and I am praying I do. I would take microbio at the same time. Did you apply for a micro class for fall yet? I applied for Sunday but I am debating whether to change it to Saturday, but still unsure. Since I've been reading other posts about the day program being a lottery to which day class you get into I havent registered for any class during the week.
no i havent register for fall classes neither i am not planning to take any courses with the nursing clinicals i am planning to take micro in summer I of 2010 or in the winter 2009 if they offer it am not sure.. i still havent heard of no one even accepted yet have you ???? am so nervous
Hi,
That makes sense too, to take Micro in Summer of next year, I am not sure either if they offer it in Winter. No I haven't heard if anyone got accepted yet..I know how you feel I am very anxious about it. From everything I have been reading in the posts gpa above 3.9 have a good chance, however I know that probably many people applied especially for those who work its probably much more competitive for the evening program..Do you know if they contact this week or next week? I remember Mr Sierra saying something about second week of June, but I am hoping that it is this week so I can just have some peace of mind.
