Any Miami Dade College students going for the acceler. or Generic option fall 2009?

I am currently at Miami Dade College fulfilling prerequisites in order to apply for the Nursing program that starts fall 2009. I'd like to be in touch with other career changers who after getting a bachelor's in a non-nursing field decided to pursue the program at Miami Dade College.

Did they tell you if they sent out letters?

I just called and they told me that they still have not made selections. I then called a advisor which told me the same thing.... I was also told that they would send out the letters at the end of the month...so its the same story from before...

alrighty well we can stop being paranoid and chill until the end of the month. Everyone go and get a drink because at the end of the month it will be CRAZY! whoo hoo nursing school here we come!

Guys dont take that like its the truth last time they were telling us that and people had already gotten their letters.... just be on the watch of the mail man but don't stress it. It will come when it comes he he he and if it comes :]

Generic full-time. I can't remember if I applied for the pt too, but I don't think so...

Yeah but what if there are like a million 4.0s :uhoh3: Even with my GPA, everything is just in the air and I don't think I will easy up until the letter is in my hands! Haha.

Dont worry I dont think that everyone applying has a 4.0...just maybe more than half! Just kidding. Either way that would be some kind of miracle if that happened. Lets hope the GPA cut off is lower than whatever your (and my) GPA is!

Maybe the emails are not an indication of anything really. For the people that got the emails do you already have a Bachelor's degree? Maybe if you already have one then you will not get an email about scholarships since you are not eligible.

I received an email and I hold a Bachelors and Masters degree. The email stated, people were selected based on their high GPA's, so I'd say if u have below a 3.8, u probably did not receive an email.

My GPA is above that so not sure why I did not get that email. Not a problem no big deal I guess.
