Any 8-5 LPN/LVN jobs out there?

Outpatient clinics. You'll make ALOT less, but usually M-F 8-5.

Home Health is also an option. It's usually a Mon-Fri job and only 8 hrs. The RN's at the facility where I worked were on-call and took first call and we were on the schedule also as a back-up for on-call if the RN was not able to get to the patient. We also had patients who would require treatments and injections for an X amount of days so that would occasionally fall over into the weekend. For the most part, it was a great job but had its fair share of paperwork. Just do your paperwork timely and try not to get behind. Try private duty or respite care. Some cases do 8 and 12 hrs. I did a combination of both.

I'm a LPN and have been working Mon-Fri. for many years, and to be honest, the five days straight without a break are getting old. The weekends go by so fast it's unreal. Next month I will start working two weekends a month and can't wait to have a day off during the week to break up that five day stretch. Also looking forward to having days without all the chaos that goes on during the week on days. Oh, and I work 6:30a.m.-3:00p.m.

I worked in a clinic 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri. and didn't like it at all. It was after five when I got home and was too exhausted to do anything. Also, not near enough pay for what I had to do day in and day out. Clinics can be great though. I just didn't work in the right one.

Clinics, doctors' offices, occupational health centers, same-day surgical centers, and radiology suites all offer 8-hour day schedules, but many of these positions are highly coveted and go to the nurses with the right mix and length of experience.

If you're willing to work from 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday, many nursing homes and LTC facilities offer this schedule to their day nurses. However, LTC is in a stressful league of its own.

its mainly 5 8hrs, 4 10 hrs, 3 12hrs...

i currently work 7-5p 4 days a week.

I work in a clinic, 8:30 to 5, no weekends, OT, or holidays BUT I make $5 less an hour than LTC. I had to take this schedule due to small children and while I like it, I sure do miss LTC pay

If you haven't looked around, may I suggest home health care? I started off in hh almost 9 years ago and love the flexibility! I've worked with the same family for 6 years during the week and 8 years with another pt on the weekends (on and off-over the years). I've been able to attend most of my daughters activities and all important events. She's graduating next week from high school :) Another great thing about hh, is that I choose if I want to work a holiday or not. Plus, my schedule is flexible enough for me to go to school!

I work urgent care and love it. Never know what's comin' thru the door next.

We do 10 hr shifts (7:45 to 6:15). It can be exhausting.

Lots of laceration repairs, splints, some catheterizing, lots of UTIs, URI, breathing tx, BS, HCG, some IVs, EKGs, blood draws, etc.

It can move fast and being able to multi-task is a plus.

I work 8-5 mon-fri in an allergy and asthma clinic in atlanta ga. I have been an LPN for 2 years and worked for them for 2 years. Its boring work, but the hours are fabulous and we get all the holidays off. $18 per hour
