I never thought I would be bullied by my own instructor. I did not pay for this!

The instructor called me derogatory names on the unit and even got the other nurses on the unit to bully me.

Then, she made up stuff about me so that she could fail me from the course.

Also, I heard it happened to another student. The school refuse to do anything to her.

The professor said things that  were derogatory and discriminatory   and even  made a comment about my family.

Are you a protected class?

Yes. Professor denied saying those things. The school district sided with the professor.

One of your professors communicated a threat to you, at your home?  And when you reported this to your local police department you were told that they didn't have jurisdiction over the school?  Even though this happened off campus?  Did they bother to tell you who did have jurisdiction?

The school district has jurisdiction. They didn't do anything. Professor still teaching there.

I don't know if your school is in California but here is a link to the state's protected classes:

I hope you can rejoin the college in the fall to finish.

I feel like there is a whole lot more to this story.

Can you give us some more details?  What was said?  What medium was used to convey those messages?

I agree & sharing more info would allow people here to help you better with this situation..

Shouldn't really matter if the professor denied everything if you have proof otherwise. You did say this professor left a threat of some kind at your home? If she left a message or a note I would assume that you were smart enough to save it. If this message was truly threatening in some manner you have proof of the behavior. If the local campus refuses to address your concerns go over their head to the schools governing body with your proof.

You always have the option of consulting  an attorney as well, if you do indeed have any kind of proof or at least some witnesses to the threatening behavior which it sounds like you do have a civil suit is a possibility.

This professor has a professional problem.  Their not professional.  Look in the day, I had an instructor kick me.  But hey it’s 2022.   A professor/instructor should never say anything unprofessional to a student.  They can take you aside and point out mistakes your making or suggest you need more time or tell you they can’t pass you.  They should never berate you in front of other students, staff and most certainly not patients.
Nursing has always been a hard road to follow.  Nursing students are expected to be at a higher standard of professionalism than a lot of other degree choices, but this is out of control!
