I never thought I would be bullied by my own instructor. I did not pay for this!

The instructor called me derogatory names on the unit and even got the other nurses on the unit to bully me.

Then, she made up stuff about me so that she could fail me from the course.

Also, I heard it happened to another student. The school refuse to do anything to her.

Are there limitations to bullying? When is it considered a hate crime?

Meeting the objectives and performing as a (student) nurse is what your are paying for. Not a pass = get out of nursing jail.

My case is indeed bullying. Staff members and patients said so.

When you're being bullied, people will tell you. Something is not right about the instructor.

It is scary that patients were brought into the conversation.....You know they are vulnerable and dependent on you....If you said "Do you like my hair cut,my ear piercings,  tatoo, smile etc....they would say 'yes of course'. They see you as as a helper and will want to please you with regard to whatever you asked/said. I can see that you may have a problem with whom you include in your personal problems.

People who do not have a vested interest will always side with you...."ain't it a shame". These individuals are not with you as practice nursing. They only hear what you tell them.

Look - apply again for next semester. Instead of seeing 'how you were wronged' look at what you can do RIGHT. Go to skills lab, attend every classroom and clinical session, seek out the lab personnel, study skills professionals for help....put yourself out there TO LEARN.

You don't have to believe me.

The professor didn't send a threat to your house.

When the behavior is directed at anything about you that makes you a protected class.

The professor said things that  were derogatory and discriminatory   and even  made a comment about my family.

If somebody indeed threatened me to the point I felt my life was in danger, I would not have had the time to post on the All Nurses website, I would've stopped what I was doing and called the police.

As of my writing, it has almost been one week since you posted.  Did you call the police?  Assuming this was a real threat, what was the outcome of your call to the police?

Of course I did!

Sadly, the police does not have jurisdiction over the school is the problem.

One of your professors communicated a threat to you, at your home?  And when you reported this to your local police department you were told that they didn't have jurisdiction over the school?  Even though this happened off campus?  Did they bother to tell you who did have jurisdiction?
