Hi everyone:
My name is Amy. I am a RN licensed in the States. I like Indiana very much But I am having hard time to find a hospital to sponsor me in Indiana, Anyone can help? Tell me a few names of hospitals sponsoring foreign nurses? I got all my education here in the States. But I am still a foreign nurse because of my nationality. Thank you all!

Try Clarian Health Partners in Indianapolis (Methodist, IU Med Center and Riley Hospital for Children). They have a very diverse workforce and many good programs. Not a bad place to work either. Checkout their website at Clarian.org and good luck.
Sincerely, Adrianne:)

What do you mean by "sponsoring foreign nurses"? If you got your nursing degree in the States, then you are an American nurse, not foreign, and why would they make a distinction between an immigrant and someone who was born in the states? I never heard of anything like that. And I am "foreign"

I agree Anna......are we missing something?
If you went to school in the USA and have a USA RN degree, how can you be " foreign"?
Unless.....(dingding)..................you went to school here under a school visa from another country and now want to stay in the USA so you need a sponser or you will have to go back to your original country once the visa expired??
If its not that, I am confused. :)

This is an old thread and going to move to the International forum.
Even if trained in the US if on a F1 visa or another type of visa then you are looking for a petitioner. Unfortunately retrogression is affecting all foreign trained nurses or foreign students just completing their training in the US as there are no visas to stay and work. We are also seeing many hospitals not accepting foreign nurses for petition as there is no idea how long retrogression is going to take and more US nurses are returning to the workforce or newly qualified looking for work.

Sorry, but there is no way that you are going to be able to start to work now if you do not already have a visa that will permit it. We are under a retrogression and do not expect things to ease up for several years. A license does not give one permission to work here so you are going to find it quite hard for a hospital willing to petition when the chances of you working there in the next few years is slim.
I understand that you are new here, so please take the time to do some reading on this forum about what is happening with visas at this time and best of luck to you.
