Relocation Info?
Thanks for the info. We agree about the winters. Fortunately we like winter and are looking forward to living in an area with real seasons again. I tried the link you provided and ended up on a phone company site. I'll search for the hospital site on a search engine. We just returned from a trip to New England. Camped in Northern New Hampshire and traveled all over...Vermont, Maine and NH...we liked Northern Maine alot...Bangor seemed like an interesting city? We loved the norther coast...any info. on that area... What area do you live in...close to Lewiston? What distance would be a reasonable commute in the winter? What is the pay scale like? How about patient to staff ratios. What are the biggest needs in Maine hospitals? Any info you send would be helpful...Thanks again Adrianne

Relocation Info?
Hi, My family and I are planning to relocate to New England in a year or so and are looking for a good place to live/work. I am a 2 year RN with Neuro ICU experience, but also like cardiology, gen'l ICU, and emergency nursing. Where are good, affordable places to live? What are working conditions like for nurses in Maine. Patient to staff ratio? Pay scales? Job opportunities? etc...Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. :) Adrianne

DHMC area - Cost of Living
Planning on moving to New England in a year or so and wanted to check with local nurses Re: cost of living within DHMC. I am a 2 year RN with Neuro ICU experience, but also love cardiac, MICU, and Emergency. We would like to buy property, (a home and a little wooded land), but prices look pretty high. Any suggestions? What kind of income could I expect at DHMC? Are there other areas I might look at? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Adrianne:)

Any hospitals in Indiana sponsor foreign nurse?
Try Clarian Health Partners in Indianapolis (Methodist, IU Med Center and Riley Hospital for Children). They have a very diverse workforce and many good programs. Not a bad place to work either. Checkout their website at Clarian.org and good luck. Sincerely, Adrianne:)
