Any Filipino RN who passed the June 2006 NLE?

Published

Are there any June 2006 passers here who did not took the retake last December 2006 and are currently working right now in the US as a RN? What are the requirements needed to apply for a VisaScreen? Does it require a local license - a Filipino RN license? I am asking this one because for your information CGFNS just released a statement that June 2006 passers who did not took the retake for the NLE last December would be denied for the VisaScreen application hence, they could not work in the US.

This decision made by the CGFNS is unfair in my opinion. A local license is not required for a BSN graduate to sit and take NCLEX. This is a fact so I just can't understand why CGFNS made a statement such as this one. It's a pity for us June 2006 passers who worked so hard just to passed that exam.

I am just disappointed to the former PNA President for the mess that he did. I just hope that the honest and hardworking June 2006 passers would have justice from all of these fiascos. I just hope that Mr. xxxxxx will also suffer for what he did. Removing him or suspending him is not enough payment for what he has done.

And I hope there will be no rallies or picket lines as well as this will send a bad impression to NCSBN and/or Pearson-VUE who have just approved NCLEX testing in Manila. What if something happens during an exam session in Pearson-VUE in Manila in the near future and some candidates are invalidated because of leakage or memorizing questions and distributing it to their review centers ?

Are we going to hold rallies again and do picket lines in front of the Pearson-Vue test center??

If the PRC Chairperson muffs this again then even the Pearson-VUE center may be in jeopardy. Pearson-Vue can easiliy withdraw NCLEX testing in Manila upon NCSBN's orders if people keeps rallying if they don't agree on something.

Gosh I hope that doesn't happen.:stone

If they don't want a retake, then so be it.. Then I guess they should also accept the consequence of not being able to work in the US.

I think there is no non-sense question. We are all here to learn from one another. If someone replies to your post, you will receive a message in your email saying so.

I hope this helps. All for the glory of Christ Jesus! :thankya:

Sent a post where? On this forum? If on this forum, you will get an e-mail telling you that you have had responses to that thread, provided that you did not cancel out of that.

And with CGFNS issuing their final stance the following week, it could easily be in jeopardy of opening. Until you actually see something on the Pearson-Vue website, do not count on it 100%. If CGFNS, that represents the US government and is under contract to them, found issues with the way things were handled, NCSBN may be taking another look.

And I still do not understand that they said that they have the cheating under control and that people are under investigation, but how in the world are the three review centers that were at the center of the scandal still open and operating? And the owners are still working and not in jail? Something is very fishy with that. Would love to know what changes that they have actually made to fixing things...have not seen one thing change as of yet.

Well, the guilty always go unpunished in our country and that is a sad truth there. Look at the Marcoses, Estrada and Arroyos. Off topic here.

I pity those who took the june 2006 NLE. But in my opinion,i think they need to retake it rather than be condem all their life that they cheated. Who will admit that they got a leakage. Ofcourse anyone will say,no i didn't get leakage, but who will prove this. we all know that it was widely distributed.

Retake...then so be it...Hope we can study still..

to all june06 passers... i hope that you can all study well if ever a retake will be implemented by the prc. coz i know a lot of you are now already working, preparing for nclex, cgfns exam and all that. think of this as something that will end the never ending issue and an opportunity to move on further. i know it will be hard but big things in the world are never easy.

i hope the retake will only be test 3 and 5. coz ive been hearing that the whole exam (test 1 to 5) might be given. God bless everyone!

My suggestion all along has been to retake the entire exam. Especially if you wish to work in the US. Many of the facilities that have Filipino staff are only going to consider someone that rewrote the entire exam.

The thing is if you prepared properly for it and knew the information the way that you should have, then it should not be any issue at all to repeat any of the sections.

And for the others that still wish to argue: If you ask anyone around the CA area, the opinion is that those are the ones that did the cheating in the first place and could not pass a retake. You are the one that will have to clear your name, it is no one's responsibility to do that, but your own.

And I still do not understand how they are permitting the NCLEX them with the review centers that were involved with the NLE issues as well as the documentation of cheating by some on the NCLEX exam with a certain review center even in HK and the center is from Manila. The Filipinos that I work with currently, and there are many; are very upset that there is even mention of an exam there. They have been following the stories very closely and have been the center of topic here for some time.
